Very interesting design and very creative way to use those cable runners!

You should coat your 3d printed parts with UV curing waterproof resin. 3d prints have pours due to the gaps at the edges of the layer lines so you need to coat your prints in order to make them water tight. Very cool build, Im a Mechanical Engineer, I love robotics so ive been teaching myself electronics to eventually build a maned underwater drone after many unmaned builds of course lol Its always been my dream to build a highly portable maned underwater ROV miniisub to explore the deep so its time to make this a reality. The goal is something that can go down to 600 meter or 1800ft

What a wonderful work! But may you explain me why did you put 4 motors ? Isn't 2 motors enough?

could you please tell us where you got the acrylic dome? i Have seen at least 5 people ask this and still 2 years later i have not seen a response. Thank You!

This reminds me of that one submersible that imploded while visiting a famous shipwreck. Strange...

Now, you gotta get the MUTHASUB built so you can have something to go down after the "treasure" you find with the ROV! 😁👍✔

Super cool what exactly are those motors called online? I have a project in mind.
@offbeat56783 жыл бұрын
Keep an eye out for a parts video but the motors used were Jameco Reliapro MS5N-1885-R, they were then waterproofed according to seaperch instructions. While they do work, we recommend maybe looking into a more powerful brushless motor as these were a little underpowered for this project.

@@offbeat5678 Awesome! Have purchased another kitbased one to get me going since my last comment (BlueDot Rov). Am really very happy with this (and the cost!) to explore more hardware and software design options but will definitely will have a closer look at yours as love the form factor alone! Looks like a solid platform for future developments and definitely start following more closely what you are doing in this space.

@unknowngamer28333 жыл бұрын
@vaibhav Mohite well it is practically impossible to build a wireless ROV as the water will scatter the radio waves, if you want a partially wireless ROV you could build a boat out of foam and add the wireless system on top of the boat and connect a wire directly to the ROV from the boat. Does it work? Yes is it practical? No if I were you I would stick to the wired ROV .
@vaibhavmohite23513 жыл бұрын
@@unknowngamer2833 yes I agree....it is practically not possible...we did realise the problems with wireless connectivity later...so at the end we completed it with wired connection.
