Thanks for watching. This is the first attempt. Check out the playlist with underwater footage, 2021 videos are better in quality, and actually you can see they become more aggressive and agile with increasing temperatures in spring time.

I would suggest that when your fishing that close, it’s probably better not to use a bobber. Although I’m assuming on a normal day you cast way out there so it makes sense
@SteveChenFishing2 жыл бұрын
I prefer no bobber for most of the time. However this cover is very very snaggy… and the bobber helps with setting the depth for better underwater filming😎

@@SteveChenFishing will do boss, but the angles are great as you have them, you can really see how they swoop up. I think it’s true that they can’t see anything below them , so they’re always hunting from below looking above.

Awesome footage from the best camera view. I will be changing my Crappie tactics because of this. No more cast, reel in and pray.
@SteveChenFishing3 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you find this video helpful.:) I do notice that the long casts tend to spook less fish. However for deep water or vertical jigging the cover, you don't have to make long cast, and barely move is sometimes much better than too much movement. Tight lines!

What do you wear out there when its cold? I just got in to kayaking last year but its been sitting next to the house since it got cold out. Im dying to get it out after some crappie though but having been in the water once I dont want to risk it happening when cold out cause that spells out death where i fish lol
@SteveChenFishing3 жыл бұрын
Safety is the 1st concern when fishing cold water... I typically wear a life jacket and normal clothing. My rule is keep close to the bank, so even if something unexpected happens, you can quickly get out of water and onto the bank... I wouldn't risk fishing in the middle of a deep lake in
