I am building and deploying a underwater time lapse camera in lake Vättern. Camera is a Xiaomi Yi in a underwater housing, Battery is 32000mAh 1s8p, built out of two 4s 4000mAh batteries. Battery case is a glass jar, cables goes through the jar lid and camera housing, and are sealed with silicone.

Great Idea! I really like your videos. I would like to recommend to add 2-4 meters of chain to your anchor, and then attach the rope. You will have amazing contact with the sand and never slip even in strong wind. Can’t wait to see the final timelapse!!

On my previous boat i had a bruce anchor with chain, but i don't think anchor is the best solution for rov use. Works fine at depts to 10 meter, after that due to the angle of the line makes you change position to much, also its a pain to pull the heavy anchor up..I am thinking of getting a front mounted trolling motor with gps position lock.

Peter Lehnér that’s good option also. I believe that for safety reasons there should always be a good anchor with some chain! I know it’s hard to pull by hand! It also depends on the conditions of the area that you sail!! Anyway, I don’t want to change the topic of the comments. Again, we’ll done about the video idea and can’t wait to see the result!!

Beat me to it. any achor should have chain mate. Your primary holding should be the weight of the chain not the anchor. Chain doesn't have to be very heavy its the fact it lies on the bottom creating drag that helps. You need to run out more rope as well, the rope length should be 2 to 3 times the depth of the water.

Det skulle va nått, fast det är ont om sådana i södra vättern :-) Fast jag har redan planer till hösten på röding leken och öringen som går upp i åarna..
