@@danskyl7279 The only thing is Lucien never hid the truth from the other Lycans. In Rise of the Lycans, the other Lycans knew Sonja was his Vampire lover. That being said, one of them did question Lucien at one point and he quickly silenced him by grabbing him by the throat. So, the idea of Marius questioning Lucien's loyalty could still work but it might be a stretch because Lucien has killed many Vampires without hesitation.

He had already lived for a long time at this point. Also he was the first of his kind, (being a Lycan rather than a werewolf). He was a fantastic character and he carried both Underworld and Rise of the Lycans extremely well. Yeah, killing him off in the first film was a bad move I think.

I luv how The Hierarchy of Power is established in this movie. Selene is The Best Death Dealer Ever! I wish Lucian hadn't died. Rise of the Lycans is my favorite outta the whole franchise, besides this one, b/c it's about him. Lucian's story is so sad, even more so than Selene's. Michael Sheen is by far one of the most talented actors out there. He can play anything from a Prime Minister to a fucking werewolf! Also, he's not what you'd typically think of as a 'sexy' leading man, but damn does he look good as Lucian!

Lucien was awesome but sadly he accomplished his goal so I don't know what else they would have done with his character, considering where they took the story. Plus Len married Kate, Michael's ex. They all seem to have a good relationship but I don't know if it would have been a little much to continue working on the series together. At least we got Rise of the Lycans.

The lycans gain the advantage of brute force but it means they can't use most weapons or armour, giving vampires an edge if they're skilled fighters. That's why Lucian didn't just transform into his wolf form again when he fought Viktor in Rise of the Lycans. Raze had removed the silver bolts he'd been shot with, and it was a full moon. Lucian definitely could have transformed again but chose not to, because Viktor was a skilled enough fighter that Lucian couldn't afford to not be wielding a weapon as well.

This filming was epically done, the elevator seen where he is semi healing with the music. The running scene, how his body folds after getting hit by the vehicle all perfectly filmed just wish Selena had been shooting up towards the car roof as he was stabbing down ( maybe she was out of ammunition 🤷🏿‍♀️) either way very hard to find films this worthy. Excellent job by the actors as well.. beautifully done

Amazing how lighting and man-made special effects can beat out modern CGI. This looks far better than the majority of modern movies, except for those with the highest of budgets. Maybe there is a good middle ground between "real" effects and CGI. I think the original LOTR trilogy would be a good reference for that. CGI worked because it was used sparingly and to enhance instead of replace. Let's go back to that.
