The opening ceremony wouldn't have been the same without this track , the industrial revolution section of that event was an absolute masterpiece Ps the best running track ever

I knew so many people at work saying "How are we going to compete with the Chinese?" referring to the massive history lesson that was the 2008 Opening Ceremony. And often I'd say "We don't need to, we're an island; they're China." Then I went home, saw what we did and just turned up to work the next day saying "Guys, WE SCOURED THE SHIRE!" Thank you for such an epic tune and and epic ceremony, because we showed China what makes us the UK!

LOCOG (The organizers of the London 2012 games): It's a section about basic history about the United Kingdom for the Olympics, don't go too hard Underworld: BEST OLYMPIC OPENING CEREMONY SOUNDTRACK EVER, FOR AGES. Even competes with Athens 2004's symphonies for the Opening Ceremony :D

If the crowds can still be like this after the 2012 Opening Ceremony I can only imagine how they'd be at Glastonbury Festival in front of thousands of thousands of thousands of people

@@JoshWaller FWIW far as I can tell it's mainly been trimmed down a bit; it doesn't have the drum solo intro that the original has and there's a few parts which have been shortened.

Never realised it was Karl on vocals on this track, just thought it was sampled.

Lyrics I heard: Hey... Fertile... (BrE. I chose this word since it appears in the same verse as "And I will kiss" does in Shakespeare's "The Tempest".) Un-huh...
