I was in a club that was at it's capacity of about 400 people. All night long some people danced, some sat at tables, some sat at the bar. When this song started up 400 people were on the dance floor. 400 people had their arms in the air. 400 people were jumping as one individual. 400 were singing along. Too young to dance to this out at the time. Born 1987 but these guys were blasted by my mum and give me so much life in these tunes. It's king of snake, rez, jumbo, skyscraper and I'm scottish, pride in Trainspotting so Dark Long Train and Born Slippy! Pear's Girl - two months off. Fuck me it just goes on and on. Wish id been there properly in the 90s but ive just seen them in manchester and in their 60s, they were unreal as expected! Gonna go to bilbao and see them again!

I started in 1995 still techno fan and lots of time for other stuff like DnB too. There has always been plenty of rubbish commercial dance music around, but you can find great stuff too. As +coliewobbler says Underworld are still on tour. Nowadays festivals are divided rock/electronic anymore you get electronic acts doing the big ones too. Lots of stalwart Dj/Producers from 90s and before are still going strong like Carl Craig, Dave Clark, Darren Emerson (formerly of Underworld), Darren Price (Underworld's tour DJ - absolutely brilliant he plays all these even more badass remxies of Underworld tracks) and loads of others. The techno scene waxes and wanes but it keeps coming back and s currently strong in Berlin and around Europe. Dig in and have a look. My recommendations for current techno are Joesph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Sasha Carissi. Once you find decent stuff on YoutTube or other sites like dancetrippin.tv, you can just keep clicking! Enjoy!
