This is Karl’s way to show that there is ALWAYS Hope. They produced this album and track after he recovered from Alcoholism and other dependences that made so many beautiful, but melancholic and passionate tunes spanning their storied career. This track celebrates the fact that we can choose to face and meet any challenge, beat its’ arse, and come out victorious. It won’t be easy (we wouldn’t learn if it was) and it requires unknown amounts of strength, the same every person reading this has inside them. If you are struggling, remember that there is Hope and you’re not alone. Know that you are tougher than you assume, or the bollocks other people may have said to you. I won’t lie and say it is an easy journey, but it is worth it and you WILL succeed, please don’t ever give-up. You aren’t battling these demons solo, even if it feels like you are and must. I’m pulling for you. Other “strangers” are pulling for you. You can, and will, reach and beat your Goals. Screw shame or any other negative crap thrust upon you by ignorant morons. Sod-them. Believe in yourself, allow things like music, this track, the beauty exists because of the darkness subtly inspiring the motivation behind Karl achieving his goal. It was hard and a long dark road is the norm, but there are lights, some flicker and seem sparse or distant at times, but they are there. They are beacons. They are people, me, urging and coaxing you onwards. You got this. Allow yourself to smile, laugh, dance, and accept the flaws that make you perfect. I don’t know you, but I have your Six. You can do it, and do it with style! Be kind to everyone (two and four-legged). Sometimes a simple smile and a, “Hello. How are you today? What’s Good?” might mean so much to someone. You/we have the power to help and serve as a positive aspect in someone’s Life! How cool is that? We might make the difference between a total shite day/month and a wonderful replacement, just by showing interest and letting someone know we care. It doesn’t cost anything and the ROI is immeasurable. This track encompasses such beauty and grit, serving as a reminder that we can all be someone’s Light in the darkest of places. We all need help at some point, having the chance to be THAT Help for someone? Fucking Awesome! Be Well and Turn It UP!

I had a quasi-religious experience listening to this tune in an airplane many years ago. It was late at night and the plane wasn't very full and I had a Sasha mix in my cd player. Two Months off came on right as the plane was landing. As the song hit I gazed out the window to see lights everywhere below me. As the song progressed the plane descended and the lights become distinguishable and I could see cars moving and busing along to the beat of Two Months Off. It was unreal.

I don't know why..maybe it was the repetitiveness off the beat...the positivity of the song's message..just a cool song?
