For everyone saying how bad the punching is, play the video at x1.25 speed. It’s too fast but the punching looks way better. Perhaps increasing the overall speed of the punching by 1.1 would do the trick? They look like they don’t land because they are too slow. Played faster the punching looks brutal.

If I'm being honest, this game just looks like they've ripped Fight Night Round 4's engine and have fiddled about with the sliders, but not in a good way. The general issue with the punches is that it looks like there's too many frames of start up animation on ones that should have less and vice versa for others. These punches lack snap, everything looks too telegraphed. Speeding the punches up without speeding the entire game up, would help. It's not just a speed issue, it's a cadence one, it needs more clutch, more variation in speed and rhythm throughout the fights. Seems too one dimensional in the pacing, literally one gear all the way through the fight.

Put a ref in the ring Put better head movement and defense Make punch animations more smooth When you’ve rocked somebody and youre killing them on the ropes make the ref stop the fight like in real life. Make counter punches and haymakers flash more stunning like in fight night,

Yeah and fix the power punch animations, get rid of the "overall" health bar and add a vulnerability system. Flash ko's should be based on damage, not random rng, a vulnerability system could fix that. But, that's all too much work for these guys. They had so many ideas, and all of them are half baked.

I feel like people are pissed because the game tried to be a sim, but it has elements that feel more arcady. Also punches being really stiff like it's champion's jab spam. If this were an arcade boxer and not a sim, I feel like people wouldn't be as pissed. Granted, this is an indie studio trying to make a AAA boxing game. They may have aimed for a scope that was a little too broad. Still prefer these knockouts to how rigid champion is. Yes, I said it, Champion's knockouts are mostly rigid. You can get ragdolls occasionally, but they're rare. And the standard knockdowns in that game bore me.

I get what you are saying but it has improved quite a bit compared to when early access was first released. These are also clips from knockouts and knockdowns so it doesn't show the full mechanics of the game. I don't know when it will be fully released but still has a lot of work to be done
