On this episode of Georgia Outdoors; Archaeology is often plagued with misconceptions of exciting adventures and buried treasure by the general public. In reality, archaeology is hot long work done by passionate people who seek the truth of the past. Archaeology as a science did not gain worldwide popularity until the 1900’s and American popularity until the 1930’s.

I love SE Native American history. With technology, we're learning so much of the true history of some amazing peoples. I would have loved to see the Apalache Kingdom in N GA in the 1500s. The native peoples were far more advanced than history gave them credit for. A truly amazing complexity of origins, trade and migration.

I’m right there with you I live in north Georgia on the broad river. I’ve wondered about these mounds and terraces and the people that built them all my life

I bet Nick is not constrained by a "19th Century Theory based Paradigm and Linear Timeline". I imagine he adheres to the "Standards of Science and Research" which promotes Free Thought, Higher Mind, and ... "Mind is to be fully open free of any predetermined Beliefs, Theories, Opinions, and allowing the Research Methodologies to extract the greater facts" ... (from All the available Artifacts, History, Oral History, and data.) A Theory based Paradigm 8s not an appropriate tool for gauging other information. DNA is presenting findings that are the resolving of this and they can be repeated for validations, and expanded upon wothout injury to Egos. The Now and Future offer far more Discoveries and far more appropriate procedures. Truly "Great Expectations" ... Beth Bartlett Sociologist/Behavioralist and Historian

📚 Many certainly were here before Colonization. The "Mainstream Academics" resist accepting that our Ancestors were very capable and mobile People's. They hold a "19th Century Theory based Paradigm and Linear Timeline as their foundation of fact", and that really doesn't meet the "Standards of Science and Research". When these Academics pick "a Theory" they treat it like a Religion, and Belief isn't Scientific. Recently I heard a description of "Mainstream Academia" that described them and the subject as: "Mainstream Academic Dogmatic Orthodoxy". That is a Discernment description of their Behavior, not Judgemental Namecalling. However, there are "Authentic Academics", those whom adhere to the "Standards of Science and Research", and are pursuing facts of History. Many of the younger Students, the forthcoming PhD's, that have a far greater focus on Authentic Facts than on satisfying Administrators and Corporations, who fund Studies and Digs. They are already hip to the situations others have suffered through. The Lab based Science of Genetics/DNA, and Mapping the Ancients Migrations (David Reich, PhD, Geneticist, Harvard), "Mapping Ancient Migrations using DNA data", and although he is a "Mainstream Academic", he is Ethical, and through his work, unexpectedly he actually proved the "All Out of Africa Theory" Inaccurate. It takes time to get circulated, but there will be many more finds, clarifying our History. It requires a practice of "Conscience Thought + Higher Mind" 🔑 and overcoming the learned prejudices and releasing the fear based Ideologies. We are picking up momentum in a Positive Direction, the greater hurdle are the 24hr Cable News Media's whom Produced Commentary Opinion News Programs and Enjoy the Profits from the Chaos they Foster. That too will see a change. Ethics will become the required rather than merely preferred. Keep your focus on the desire, ignore the misinformed, and know your Truth and your Worthiness. When we become a Public that understands "We are Souls, having a Human Journey", our bodies are the vessels for the Journey, but Our Souls all all Soul Energies, from 1 Source and the Self we know, is a unique Value, but "We literally are All of the Same origin" ... That is a most balancing comprehension. Have a Wonderful Life Journey and Enjoy )laying in Your Passions ✨. (They are what you came to experience and enjoy!)
