This video focuses on the colonial exhibition that was organised for Marie de Médicis (1575-1642), the exiled Queen Mother of France, on 1 September 1638 during her ceremonial entry into Amsterdam. It will analyze the presence of the Others at this festivity, their representation, participation and the ideas associated to their presence.
Este video se centra en el caso de la exhibición colonial organizada para Maria de Medicis (1575-1642), Reina Madre de Francia en el exilio. Se organizó el 1 de septiembre de 1638 para su entrada ceremonial en Amsterdam. Aquí analizaremos la presencia del “otro” en estas fiestas, su representación, su participación y las ideas asociadas a su presencia.
