Thank you the drone footage. Probably the best portrayal of what happened. Sincere commiserations to those who have been affected. A big lesson for us all, is that even the UK can become like Australia or California. Just one spark!

Thanks for getting this drone footage as it proves how bad the situation was. The wind made it impossible for the fire service to get it under control and for residents to save their property from destruction. This also allows others not affected to rally round for their neighbours who have lost everything. Community spirit has already started with collection points in place. I am not on Facebook, I know this information is on there. Thoughts out to all affected by this and respect to the fire service, police and all involved in this incident.

Yes me too, down Millfield. It was a crazy day. Local community have been amazing as were the emergency services. I feel so sorry for those that have lost their homes. Going by the footage I'm surprised that not more houses went up in flames along the perimeter and beyond.
