Unedited Recording of The Warning at their 1st Whisky A Go-Go Gig - Jan.25, 2018

The Warning's first appearance at the Whisky on January 25, 2018. Listen to my good friend Rick Hernandez at the beginning of their set as he yells out "GIVE EM A STORM GIRLS". ...and they did. 03:34 I tried to position myself for the best shots of Pau as you can see, unfortunately that left a good angle for Ale not being there due to the house speakers. for the next Whisky gig I plan on being on the floor roaming from side to side.😉
They were only allowed 3 and half minutes for sound check, At their next Whisky, they will be headlining and will have more time for the sound check as the headliner each nite:

Missing a front tom didn't seem to bother her at all. (she usually has two). So she wrecked the only one there. It was laying on it's side by the end of the show....:) Love these early performances. Thanks for the upload....

Pau shines so bright here. I am so impressed with her energy, her timing, and her arrangements. Ale is the metronome, and drove them the whole show, like a little Boss! Dany... Well what we just witnessed here is one of the best front woman in the making. something about a Female singer, who can belt them out, while destroying an axe, that just resonates to my Rock N Roll core! I love how Dany just tells Pau to take over the singing at 8:12 while her mic is getting fixed. They are so professional. 😍 Dany has to use those sideways dance steps from 9:20 more. Pau's drumming at 22:46 *WOW* just *WOW* 🤘😁🤘 and then removing her boots at 26:23. 😁

I chose this angle to focus on Pau’s drumming, at the expense of getting full shots of Ale.🤷🏽‍♂️🤓 Actually a group of us planned beforehand to get multiple angles that could later be remixed. 16Lizards was about 4 yards to my right, Clifford was stage right, Tim Little and Paul Sailer were on the floor directly in front. We then gave our clips to Matt Heaffy who did the mashup. He did an awesome job. If I remember right Cliff got a cable to the sound board.

Her original Yamaha kit she got when she was 7, the brown Drum Workshop kit she has in their studio and a new white Drum Workshop hit she got earlier this year. You can see it when they did a show at a local Monterrey venue earlier this year. She always tries to rent a kit in the same configuration as her home kit, but she will usually travel with her own cymbals and double bass pedal and use them whenever she can.
