Unega Mountain Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that rescues and rehabilitates livestock guardian dogs in Blaine County, Idaho. These working dogs have been abandoned and left behind in the mountains, usually in horrible shape.
We are at the beginning of the rescue season when sheep are being moved and Unega is OVERWHELMED and AT CAPACITY already. Every enclosure is full of dogs, with more dogs being rescued on an almost daily basis. The team at Unega needs our help.
If you have ever considered fostering or adopting a Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog, or if you would like to make a donation to the rescue, this is your sign!
Our film, Unega | Tales of the Guardians, has screened at the Sun Valley Film Festival, and the Seattle Film Festival, with more festivals scheduled later this year. The documentary follows Tiffany Larson and her team at Unega as they navigate the difficulties of rescuing and saving working dogs.
