Man... I've had french in school for five years and learned nearly nothing, because it didn't interest me at all. Which was probably the case, because we learned "textbook french". I swear by god, had our teachers played us some heartmelting music like this and showed us how beautiful and tender french can be, noone could have stopped me from learning at least two hours of french every single day. Or in short: Wonderful song and thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day everyone :)
@louane56053 жыл бұрын
I think it's sadly the same for all of languages at school. I learnt english by myself, because at school you learn only basics and boring things (we fucking don't care about clothes lmao). But i fell in love with english thanks to songs I've heard, books i've read. if i am one day a french teacher in foreign countries, i'd like to teach with songs, films, simple books because culture helps to build a language.
@agstinacueva16733 жыл бұрын
@@louane5605 as boring as it is to you it is very much necessary. You won't learn unless you are a student who engages outside the classroom with the language. If you want to listen to music in a language you want to learn dont expect school to do it for you. Appreciate your teachers.

I was supposed to go to Paris with my girlfriend a month or two from now. She used to talk about France a lot, whether it was innocently making fun, the country’s history, or how her past holidays there had been, but we broke up a couple days ago, and I just wish I didn’t mess it all up. Now this song happened to show on my feed, and even though it’s beautiful, it makes me really sad as well. I hope everyone listening to this song when they’re upset and scrolling through the comments knows that they are loved and things will get better. I know that’s pretty generic, but if you put your mind and heart to it, it’ll become true. I might not know you, but I believe in you and want you to succeed and be happy ❤️❤️❤️

As a proud Frenchman, I contemplate the splendor of the French language, a symphony of words dancing with elegance. Each sentence is a canvas where pictures of infinite beauty unfold, capturing the refined spirit of our culture. The French language, with its richness and subtlety, evokes an enchanting harmony, a poetry that transcends borders. It's a true linguistic treasure, an invitation to explore the delights of expression and marvel at the magnificence of our linguistic heritage. It is for these reasons that I am proud to be French.

I still regret that I never really paid proper attention and learned efficiently in my 4 years of French lessons. This language, as confusing as it can be at times, is stunning and I can only manage simple dialogues. I have been learning Spanish for a year now, and soon I will reach the level I reached in French. Seeing my friends who continue to have French lessons just reminds me how well I could’ve mastered the language.

It’s not too late. I think one of the biggest things holding us back at times is the idea that we could’ve been better at something if we never quit. I feel like it causes people to delay it even more due to the negative emotions you start to associate with it. The best time to have done it may have been then, but the second best time is right now.

Me too, but I believe you would also need much more than learn the words and grammar you learn in school. I learned a lot of tricks to understand texts in school and write answers, but speaking and listening is so much harder (and more important) to learn in a class setting, for me at least.
