I am not an expert to give advice, opinions yes. You capture the attention of the viewer within the first minute. Then the story begins. By the actions of your subject the story starts to unfold. You have captured their attention now. Thinking what's next, who, when or where? I liked your short film! You have a talent! Keep working at it/with it when you have the free time. If you have an inspiration of film makers or persons. Study them and various other forms. Keep your mind actively thinking of all the different scenarios possible. I wish you the best and successful career. I am going to subscribe so I can follow and watch you develop your career as one of Best Directors in the field. Thank you. Ken

You are welcome. You have all the elements needed to tell, write a script and direct. That in itself is an accomplishment. A pat on the back is to be given! Now as your free time permits you start to look and fine tune each of the aspects of the film. The one thing that I have used in just planning my trips to Rochester, MN., St. Paul, MN., Traverse City, MI., Grand Rapids, MI. and Dallas, TX. I take out my pen and paper and plan my trips out. All the details to get me there. Sounds boring, I know. Hello, Ken, we have technology to tell us on how to get there. I am from the old school. Traveling alone it is too hard to look at screens, signs, cars and exits. So, as you think about what you want to cover in your story, a quick picture of a note found on the floor or the angle of the camera out the window. I do have a pretty good memory, but I still don't trust myself to remember everything I wanted from the grocery store. I know what you're thinking. Technology yes to a point not everything though. I hope you understand in what I have said. One thing to remember is you have time. It's hard to work against time.

_"All six of the crew never made it home."_ That sounds like something from Google Translate, but it's not English.

None of the six crew made it home.

Riiiight?! Someone above wrote an essay, talking about how good it was and I'm like....huh?! There was no storyline, no direction, no nothing. I'm all for abstract film, but this was just too far out there.

I could see where he could have potential...if he tried. This was obviously thrown together.

You're right. This was absolutely thrown together. A purely for-the-sake-of-it film that gave me a good grade in a class. Like my description says: VERY BAD. DO NOT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.
