I have resigned from my work with a "2-week-notice" and relocated to another city. I am currently searching for new employment and still unemployed. Would I be eligible for unemployment benefits?

Wow... too many requirements in TX, in California it's pretty lax to get the entire 26 weeks

I have registered for WorkInTexas. Do the work search activities have to be submitted on the WIT website in order to receive benefits?

I am already on unemployment, which I qualified for last year in Nov., but work part time now for a new job. I still file every two weeks as they said. Do I qualify for the extra $600 in fed money.

is the 26 weeks total for your lifetime, or does it refresh if you find work and work the new job for a few years?

I believe it resets after you have been employed for a certain period of time, but don't quote me on that. I believe you can find the answer to that question on the TWC's website.

Money Family It typically takes around 4 weeks from the date of your application. The TWC will contact your employer after it receives your application. Your employer then has 2 weeks to respond.
