This is true my girl. We've educated our children using all our resources and now they are unemployed. They are being given temporary work in counties and poorly, poorly paid peanuts in bad working conditions. Why can't the national government take over management of these doctors

Especially Biomedical engineering field has been neglected in kenya

The truth in this is glaring. But for the young doctors in Kenya, the way forward is to specialise first, unite as professionals of various specialties and create centers of excellence in particular fields. I'm working on my specialisation right now, ask me anything.

@@mitchelleadhis488 Hi Mitchelle. I'll put it this way, 1. Are doctors still needed? Absolutely, our doctor-patient ratio stands at 2.6 per every 10000 people, compared to the WHO recommended 1 doctor or every 1000 people. 2. Will you still earn a living as a doctor in Kenya? You probably will, even as a general practitioner. It is getting more difficult, however, to land a good job. There are far easier and faster ways to make more money in our country. It all comes down to your passion which trumps considerations about the marketability of profession.

But before you specialize you need a good exposure to your work unless you are just specializing for money reasons. So agree that you need to be employed first for you to even raise resources for this specialization unless you come from an able family that can sponsor you all through from undergrad masters. How about that child who's fees was paid by a well wisher from the village imagining that the doctor to be will change the status of the family
