Hello Brothers and Sisters.
This is my 3rd time filming and editing this video. I hope it finds you well.
In this video I talk about my personal journey into being in an unequally yoked marriage.
Not every situation is the same and so I hope that I stressed the importance of putting your personal situations in the hands of God enough.
God bless you all.
Love, Joëlle.

Thank you so much for your kind words. The reason I make these videos is to glorify God and to show others how great He is, when I read things like this I can see that it is being fulfilled. God is so good and I'm so grateful that He's brought us all together like this in a place of fellowship. May God bless you abundantly my sweet friend.

Joelle, thank you for this encouraging video. I watch it everytime when I struggle in my marriage. My husband denies God right now and I guess I’m the one who didn’t give him the space to search for God himself. He went to church with me, he is reading the Bible sometimes, but because of the same selfish part in me it feels like our intimacy in all ways possible is growing cold and it is so hard for me to love him the way he is because it is so hard to watch him live in deception... I was too, but now God set me from this control and pressure that I was putting on my husband. I’m more kinder, understadinng, loving to him. Alleluja! But when it comes to children, I just feel like I’m not ready to do this. I really hope that there will be a breakthrough someday and God will touch him and reveal Himself to him, but I also hope that God will help me to relax and trust Him with children question...

I was not planning on commenting, but its hard, because this is top tier: One of the most well thought-out and presented videos I think I have seen. I have been "unequally" yoked to my wife for over 30 years, and I have received similar counsel from others (even though I cannot recall anyone coming out and actually declaring that I was "sinning" for marrying her). I think that you made the best case that can be made that such statements are judgmental, meritless, and that even if that were so, that all have sinned and there is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus (Rom 8:1). Thanks for letting this video "cook" in the oven. I'll probably come back to it again and listen to what you have to say on this subject. Blessings-

It's just beautiful... I agree what you have shared in this video and wonderful to know that you have clear awareness that God's leading you! Can see the radiance of joy in Christ radiating from you face in the videos I saw so far. I was a athiest in the mid teens and Jesus came into my life proving His existence and therefore till today I believe there is God...And hence I can clearly see in the few videos I saw in your channel.. that joy of acknowledgement of God's existence and joy of him in your life is clearly visible in you when speak... Today all of a sudden you video was in there when I scrolling though I don't even follow you or know.. but glad that I came across... Love you in Christ 😘 And may God come into Derrick's life in God's time and make you both a great blessing to many people in this world... Don't hurry on Him with too much doses😁.. Let the Potter in His time .. he knows best... Just as He did to you and for me and many others like us who did not believed in God but now we do 🤗😊😊

I can understand the struggle of an unequally yoke marriage. I was saved after being married to my atheist husband. I always found this passage to be helpful in clarifying the biblical perspective on this: “If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭ And: “For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:16‬ ‭ And thank you for covering this topic!

Thank you so much for this video, it spoke so much to me. I am going through almost the same situation and often feel hopeless because I want my husband to lead his family to Christ and be the man God wants him to be, but I often find he doesn’t agree with me on what the Bible says. I have felt convicted lately about head coverings my my husband thinks I’m weird and doesn’t want me to do it. This past year we stopped celebrating Christmas and Halloween because of my convictions and discovering the pagan roots and I started celebrating the Sabbath on Saturday instead of Sunday. You are so beautiful and such a pure spirit. Thank you for sharing. Please continue to share more when you are able to. ❤️

The Lord bless you both. You were brought into Derek's life for a reason (and mine!), which I believe and pray will ultimately result in bringing glory to God! It's humbling to see your subjection to Christ as Head, in praying about everything and seeking out His answer first. I need to do that more. So glad to know your husband is a believer. I know too many women who are living in fear with husbands who do not believe in God, and prevent them from speaking about the Lord (all of those women were saved after they had married). But praise the Lord that one of those men, who had tormented his faithful wife for many years over her faith, finally gave His life to Jesus on His deathbed in 2019, holding the hand of the woman who had spoken so much to him of her Saviour throughout their walk together. God can use us in many ways, but as you say we must be soft as clay and not resist God's perfect love, not be the stones which are cast away. All that He does in our lives, He does in love. Thank you for your message, I'm not married and will never marry unless it is God's will, but there was so much fruit in this video that I could take from it! And enough fragments left over to fill twelve hand baskets! 😊

Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply Best regards from a Muslim ( line of ismail )

kzbin.info/www/bejne/jauQp5idqsafg8k "The Island" is a 2006 Russian biographical film about a 20th century Eastern Orthodox monk. Pyotr Mamonov, who plays the lead character, formerly a rock musician in the USSR, converted to Eastern Orthodoxy in the 1990s and lives now in an isolated village. Film director Pavel Lungin said about him that "to a large extent, he played himself." Mamonov was first very hesitant to play in the film, but then was urged by his confessor to play the character. After the filming, one of the movie crew staff decided to stay on the island and live there as a hermit.

That you should not associate with people who are not believers. in fact, I think that rule was abandoned early on by the Christians who lived in Rome. because if I understood correctly, they also gave care to people who were not believers and in that way there were more believers. that is at least what is said in history programs about Christian history

Now this verse I believe goes hand to hand. Now let's say your husband is not a believer because he is has his doubts. I believe that's okay, but let's say your husband is not just an unbeliever but he worship Satan or he is completely evil and works in promoting evil than it can be problem. If he's abusive, you should leave. Because God called us for peace and let's face it some people are just really evil. It's not easy but with Help from the Holy Spirit he will guide through all truth. Remember God said not to worry about Tomorrow. (1 Key: Our Father got this) That's why it's very vital to have a relationship with Him, Jesus model that for us. Love you all and hope to see you all in the kingdom.

Lovely video. 🤗 I'm curious to know if you have any lessons for those of us who experienced Christ after marrying an atheist? In my particular situation, my husband has good sides but is also an active heavy drinker and can be somewhat emotionally abusive. I know this is my own walk to take with the Lord, and I need to pray on it, but I have been and my convictions are starting to lead me away from staying, which seems like it is against the Bible, so I want to ask others who are keep experienced. Am I misinterpreting Paul's advice?

Paul did write that if the woman does leave her husband, she is supposed to stay unmarried, or else be reconciled to him😊 So Paul did specifically address an issue like this! It is what my Mom did, actually...her husband was a Christian also, in this case. But the situation was pretty abusive still , and also not a good environment for my siblings. After many years of attempting to submit to him. She finally separated from him. However, she continues to stay single and, knowing her , she won't ever marry anyone else while he is still living! Who knows, maybe God will even restore their marriage. But he will have to change more, first...for it to be ok. So, I hope this may be of some help to you, even tho i know you asked the question a long time ago❤ If it's possible for you to get along with your husband, and it doesn't take you away from God...that is one thing. But if it's abusive, I don't believe God requires you to stay in that! And also that can affect children alot, too. God doesn't agree with divorcing/and marrying someone else. But He definitely wants to protect you from abuse.💗 May He give you so much wisdom in navigating your life , dear sister!

I pray that God fills u with his Holy Spirit to lead u in to all truth! And give u the freedom that is in Jesus! And I suggest u read Galatians! See in the Galatians, having launched their Christian experience by faith, seem content to leave their voyage of faith and chart a new course based on works-a courses Paul finds disturbing. His letter to the Galatians is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith

Are you in a church? This is a question for a spiritual father. I will say though. Marriage is marriage, it isn't meant to end in divorce, we are supposed to be sacrificial, caring more about the other than ourselves. If your wife doesn't want to go with you, perhaps she doesn't mind you go by yourself? Especially if you have children can make things even more difficult. Anyway this is really a question for your priest, he will know you far better than me.

At the end of the day womens have to acknowledge that Husbands are not tickets to Christ and neither they are bigger than faith in Jesus and having them is no guarantee access to heavens . What we need to acknowledge is that number : 1. Sleeping with someone who you are not married to it’s wrong, it’s a Tambo and Jesus doesn’t approve . 2. Sleeping with someone doesn’t make you their husband, it doesn’t mean you should marry them , what you need is to cut loss, repent. If God created you to be with them than it should happen and if he isn’t the one pray to God to refere you the one he intended. The reason of not to get married to unyoked is for our own good , for our own well-being ,God is trying to save us from heart ache for he knows what’s best for us . But us because of our ways of justification and the tendency to put our flesh first we are afraid of letting go of people we ourselves have chosen and engaged with already because we are already inlove with them, we refuse and think we can just get married to unyoked mates and latter “With justification we think it’s right and we will start thinking God is in support and start hearing words that’s it’s him” BUT GOD WILL NEVER CONTRADICT HIMSELF AND HIS WORDS REMAIN ,THE EARTH AND HEAVEN SHALL PASS AWAY BUT NOT HIS WORDS NOT EVEN OUR AMOUNT OF JUSTIFICATION CAN OUTRUN HIS WORDS.! We Are not to mend Gods words to fit into our Life but We are to mend our Life to fit in Gods words.

Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. 11But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife. 12But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her. 13And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him. 14For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 15But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace. 16For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

You shouldn’t impose these things to strongly on yourself, I believe these things are more the law of man than the law of god.. god works in mysterious ways and his law is above mans law, I mean you only have to look at the life of Jesus and see how unpredictable and dynamic he was and how he would break societal taboos without question, unconcerned of the consequences... what I’m saying is gods rules are written in your heart not in a book, Jesus wasn’t following a book nor did he point to a book he pointed to the heart.. I know this seems dangerous and can be dangerous for those who don’t have the right understanding as they can easily deceive themselves and go astray but I believe someone as sincere as you are it doesn’t apply.. god lives in your heart as you and once you have completely surrendered to god he will guide you and that may go against what it says in a book or what an institution says but it is much more true and real, god bless.

Yahovah doesn't guide us to marry a spouse that doesn't live for Yeshua and who isn't a real believer. It is us, who tries to save them by marrying them and many many times, that doesn't work. Unequally yoked marriages often end with physical and spiritual attacks, abandonment and divorce.

I agree with you. It is better to be equally yoked. And if you know you shouldn't be unequally yoked absolutely don't marry, don't date. However in my specific situation I do see why God allowed me to marry my husband. I did not know I shouldn't be unequally yoked, at this point in my christian journey I was still in the old testament. I prayed about it and I only had christian people around me to ask, they all told me the same thing, to marry him. I myself had doubts, and at one point in my mind I said I would not marry him. But for some reason I was allowed to. I wasn't trying to save my husband, and as hurt as I would have been concidering we had a child together, I would have understood and moved on if God took him out of my life. But...God wanted to save my husband, and he did save him, the amazing things He has done for him is truly beautiful to see. And for sure I care about my husband's salvation just like I care about your salvation. It's all the same to me. Everyone is equally important. At that time I was actually exhausted at the thought of marrying him because of our differences which is why I was asking every christian around me that I trusted. Never did I hear do not marry him, I do kind of find it odd that none of them said do not be unequally yoked, clearly God didn't want me to hear that message, because if I knew it was in the Bible when I was questioning all of it I never would have married my husband because I only ever want to be obedient to God...but in hindsight now I see what a disservice that would have been and I understand why God allowed it. When you have been in the church for a while and you know all the teachings, it would be so wrong of you to go and try to find someone to "fix"...because you know better and should marry someone who loves God as much as you, there is absolutely no question about it. That wasn't the case with me. However I have had a few women come to me and ask me if they should marry thier boyfriend who isn't a Christian even though they themselves are a Christian, I always tell them, no, it's better to be equally yoked and that's what the Bible tells us to do. When you know what the Bible says, you don't question it. Period. If you don't know then you don't know.

@@righteousrebellion90 I'm not condemning you for marrying your husband 😄. You're okay. You remind me of myself a little, because I did the exact same thing that you did. And even though she's going too church now, she doesn't love me, support my faith based work and she belittles me and everything good that I do for her. It's very very painful to love someone who doesn't love you back and who isn't right with God. It's very very lonesome to be unequally yoked, to a cold hearted spouse, even if they go to church ☹️. My wife often tells me to leave 😕. She wants a guy who works a secular job, earns good money, and who devotes his life to his wife, home and chores at home. If I granted her wishes, I would never have time to work for God and to help many in need. It looks like I'm headed for divorce ☹️. And yes, I married her also to help save her 🔥. Why. Because I love her. I'm glad to know that your marriage worked out.

even if you would have married an unbeliever, it would not have been a sin. the only case of sin in marriage is the case of adultery. marriage is not a sin in and of itself, but within regards to the law...we are not under the law but under grace. Your marriage is a righteous fit, although, you are sensitive to the difference of demonstrative conviction within your partner. As long as you are yoked to him, honor him, and God who provided the yoke for that matter, and you will do well. You are in a good place mentally, and your obedience to the customs of the churches of God is only leading to good in your marriage. I don't think you are unequally yoked from what I can tell, but I think you are married to someone who doesn't resemble you perfectly like in a mirror. If you maintain approval to the knowledge that woman was made for man and not man for woman, you will do well. thus, ends my discussion on this matter tonight. God bless!

The whole bible is relevant. Christ is the same yesterday today and tomorrow His word doesn’t change His commandments don’t change so Remember the Sabbath day is what happened in the beginning with Adam n eve at creation and also towards the end of time this will be a test of worship to see who will obey by the day of worship Sunday being the false day of rest counterfeit day by satan and Saturday being Gods true sabbath day of rest and what(WHO) we choose will determine our eternal destiny
