A few tips that could help you: •Front somersault: tuck up then rotate (might wanna practise that into a pit first though) •Squat on: if u get a really high cast u can easily get your feet on the bar without leaning too far back either •Straddle undershoot (I think it’s called sole circle dismount in the USA): keep your legs straight when you put your feet to the bar (I dont blame u as it took me ages to do that) •bars overall: wear chalk You’re welcome Lydia and anyone else who needed this :) Also congrats on the coaching job!!

Goldie’s Minecraft Parody’s i agree with everything said! i also suggest keeping your arms up coming out of front skills(rather than straight out in a T shape) because it will come in handy when you work on connections!

I also would like to add that she might want to fix her landings when doing her front tucks/flips, I messed up my knees by landing similar to the way she does
@jkrdyn6 жыл бұрын
I would also like to add that your tap swings should be bigger and more powerful. Kick forward when going forward and slightly arch your back when going backwards so that you get more power to do your flyaway. Another tip for you flyaway is to try to set first (try building a slanted wall out of mats and doing sets onto that wall, it really helps for normal flyaways and if your working towards layouts).
@squirrelflight47826 жыл бұрын
also for squat ons keep your shoulders over the bar to stop falling backwards
@cutopluto34796 жыл бұрын
Jordyn B in tap swings you should b hollow in he back and do the arch kick thug you were talking about directly under and be hollow forward. also using your shoulders to pull u back, not just your momentum. :)

Good job! Here are some tips for some of those skills, you don’t have have to take this advise but I thought I would share them anyway😁 • 0:45 front limber- try squeezing a foam block in between your legs to learn to keep them together • 0:50 front walkover- keep your arms by your ears • 1:19 Ariel (sorry if I spelled it wrong) try using your arms more to get around faster. That is what helped me get mine. I usually swing my arms around quickly just as/after I hurdle • 1:31 punchfront/front tuck- set higher and try to tuck first • 2:04 stride circle- try to put your thumb with the rest of your fingers instead of in front, it will help you get around the bar easier • 3:50 flyaway- try bringing your legs closer to your chest You did really good! This is not hate in anyway👍🏼 (Edit: Also for your rips! Try putting tea bags on them, it works for me!)

I’m alittle older then you and would love to start gymnastics. Your such an inspiration… showing me that I could do it even to despite my age. I would really love to learn the uneven bars. Ouch for your hands. I’ve seen on other gymnastics videos that there’s grips that help you hold on to the bars and should keep you from cutting your hands up too. Keep up the great work!

That is most likely not the true reason. They probably think it is unsafe. Prove to your parents that it is safer than to train at home. What skills do you have so far?

Tips for your squat on: one cast before hand- I found it gives u less chance to back out and u have more control. Have ur shoulders slightly further over the bar rather than in line allows u to get ur legs on . More ur arms out by about half an inch to make more room for your feet. Don't jump to the next bar- fall ( if this makes sense) as it's more controlled Catch the high bar with straight arms- I'm scared you will hit ur face!

Hey Lydia I loved the video but a tip for the rips on your hands(the big red circles) you should take vaseline put the vaseline on the rips then wrap them in saran wrap(the clear wrap that you put over food) sleep over night and the rips should be healed ALOT - from a gymnastwho get rips all the time!!

OMG your front punch!!! I have a struggle with them! One tip on your front punch, try to keep your knees together because if your ever teaching them or if your at a meet, you will get points off for "cowboying" your legs, that means your legs are separated, But other than that your awesome!!!

If you start ripping more often, get grips. If you do get grips, make sure you get wrist guards, otherwise the grips will irritate the skin around your wrists. Another way to prevent ripping is to to tape your hands in the shape of grips before you go on bars. Hope that helped. :3

Oof! I remember when I was training for my squat on! I kept banging my knees on the low bar and it hurt so bad!😩 And don’t get me started on jumping to the high bar.. I had to worry about jumping and not face planting on the squat on. AND THEN I had to worry about jumping to the bar and missing it. It took me about a month, then I lost it... took me another two months. Then about a month later I noticed that I was ripping so bad. That’s when I had to get grips.. which was even harder because I was afraid that I was gonna slip like everybody else did on my team when they got grips. I did... I laughed at the ends tho.😂 it didn’t really hurt. The hardest about being on a team is that everybody is 2-3 years older then me. I’m the smallest and shortest one. It’s hard being 10,and having 12 and 13 year olds around me.
