Thank you for putting this video up. i find doing a project to completion often makes me feel better about myself. Also, there are jobs/projects/positions I wanted that didn't get. But the projects/jobs/positions I have gotten have fit my talent set to a T. And with each project/job/position I learn more and more about how to do better at what I do (which is making music.)

Hey, my G, if you even got to the stage of having the grades to apply for Oxford then you can treat this whole thing with the solace of the fact that you're an extremely intelligent and capable individual, despite what any short-term (yet still totally real) personal disappointments may make you believe. Life's about proving to the world and to yourself that you can make a success of yourself despite the obstacles that get thrown your way. I had a few personal and educational crises when I was your age, and it really did (does) seem like the end of the world. But a decade later and I am basically right where I'd want to be, and wouldn't have traded a step of it along the way. I promise you'll look back on it in the future, once you've graduated elsewhere, and got a graduate job, and then gained a few years experience in that job, that you'll look back on this event as an absolute nothing event in the grand scheme of things. And if it's any consolation at all, your meme video quality has not changed at all... Still perfect.

Sorry you didn't get into Oxford, but don't take it too hard. You never know what God has in store for you. I'm planning on being a pilot, I've got my college situation all sorted out, and a general career path outlined, but it's possible God may have me do something completely different with my life, and He may have something big in store for you, bigger than Oxford. You just never know, and it's kinda fun that way. Don't let this bring you to your knees. Keep your head up, no matter how bad life seems. We're here for you bro. Wishing you luck in your future adventures :)

I'm a ten year airline captain in America, so I just wanted to tell you to make sure and find someone in the industry who is familiar with how it all works to explain the situation to you before you commit a ton of time and money to the career. It's a great career, and it is a great time to get in to it, but it really doesn't work how most people think it does, and it is super easy to waste a lot of time and money on things you don't need. For instance, you don't need a college degree at all, unless you are in a different country where it works differently, or unless your actual flight training is a part of that college degree. I don't want other people to make the same huge mistakes I did. It's super fun and rewarding though, so good luck!

@@eric7591 Thanks, yeah. I've got a relative who has spent a decent amount of his life flying for Delta (not sure if he's still at Delta though). I really don't know a whole lot about it, but the one thing I know for sure is that it sure as hell isn't easy but it's also very rewarding. Right now I'm focusing on getting my PPL and getting up in the air on a regular basis. The college I'm planning on also has hiring agreements with some regional airlines here, in addition to some large scholarships, so even if it's not required, I think it's still worth it.
