If the British TV shows are an accurate representation, there are many roads in England that are only wide enough for one car to pass. I guess Brits really are more civil waiting for cars to pass going in the opposite direction. Americans would have lots of impatient head-on collisions.

So nice to see Raymond! It is amazing that those old 17-18 century stone buildings still stand! A real testament to the the quality of mason work. The rewilding area is really coming along nicely. The entomologist was interesting. I am always amazed that folks in environmental studies can rattle off the Latin names as easily as English! My friend is a botanist, and she does the same. Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻

Well, with all that rain, it’s easy to see why England is referred to as a “green and pleasant land”! Loved seeing the insect survey. You all work so very hard at Mapperton. I hope you can find a fairy godmother to wave her wand and provide some funding. It still floors me that the Grade Listing system (sorry, don’t really know what it’s called, but hopefully you know what I mean) has such stringent requirements but offers no financial assistance.

A Raymond tour. He and his wife could come, with a couple of others from Mapperton. They could speak about the place and raise money for some improvements that are needed. and take in the sites of that area. For example, if he came in the fall then he could see the color change with the leaves on the trees. In Kansas City Mo he could try our barbeque and see a baseball or American football or, we do have a women's and men's soccer (football) teams. He could do a world tour, with several trips to different countries.

The insect guy was a great. I think he would captivate youth with his expertice. Can you capture the insects, put them in glass cages, have an insect zoo day, have your insect guy talk about them, then, set the insects free? Perhaps consider incorporating your mother's ancector's bug cabinet? Not sure if the climate would be okay for this.

Raymond, I'm with you, muscle car's of the past are awesome, they just don't make them like they used to. I restored a 1966 Chevy Impala ss convertible, original AC, with high performance 327 chevy small block rebuilt and very quick. I like big block car's to. I'm currently restoring a 1954 Jeep Willys m38a1, that has never been titled or on our salty US road's. This rig was bought back in the 80's from a government auction, and has all the 24 volt stuff to go fording through deep water, if you ever travel to the US, i will take you on a tour, and show you some nice muscle car's. My step dad, who out lived my mum and dad has an awesome Chevy Nova that has been restored to like new, and all original sheet metal, none of that chop and replace with new parts unlike the originals. You are a true gem. G-d bless, hope Luke reads this message to you.

When i did my semester abroad in london in the 80s one day i was walking along one of the roads that stretches for miles and way off in the distance you saw this bright unusual color moving in the crowded traffic towards me. As time passed and the traffic moved this bright spot came closure ever increasing in size. I had just stepped out of the patisserie with my daily brioche and was working my way thru it when this bright spot was a 1960s pink Cadillac US version convertible that in size could have been a tank if it were WII. I said tom yself only in London could you find such a site.
