Generally, well-designed and accessible public transportation systems can reduce car traffic by providing a viable alternative. However, the specific influence would require a detailed analysis of the train's integration into Merida's transportation network and local commuting patterns. Merida has been investing $ in new transportation systems recently, the new Mayan train station is in Merida's outskirts and connects with the brand new E-tram (electric powered buses). These new transportation systems just had a soft opening, so they are not working 100% for now. We will report back more information about it 🙂🙂

I don´t like yucatecan land being talked like just an investment. It´s our land and it is being massacrated because of the real estate speculation promoted by so many. In few years the land, the state and the city wont remain like it is today because of all the promotion and speculation being done with the land.
