That Old Timer that that man gave you is the knife that I've been looking for for a long time. I lost mine , a gift and ment alot to me. Lost it on a cross country bike trip many years ago.

This was a bajonet for the Springfield rifle before it became a knife. 1917 would date it WW1 and the year the US army joined the fight in Europe. Not sure if it was used during WW2 also. Could be, or it was made as a pasttime in the trenches of WW1 and taken home after the war.

Mora Knives are made in Sweden not in Switzerland, they are Swedish Knives !!! In Switzerland are made Victorinox and Swizza.
