A solo ride to my favourite hill station in TamilNadu - Kodai! This time, I’m taking the less explored route i.e Palani to Kodai. I met strangers who made my heart feel so happy and at my destination, I met my friend Avi and my favourite person, Abhay (my husband) :)

There are 4 or 5 routes from palani to perumal malai. Then to kodai. Kodai is 20 kilometers from perumal malai.

Hey Sumit...i usually contact the local hotels and ask them a day prior to my rides, i recommend the same to you also...This ride to Kodai was in the first week of July and it wasn't raining as much. In Valparai the rain was very very heavy, wouldn't recommend

I don't ride when it's raining heavily, especially on ghat roads since visibility is poor. I noticed it was raining heavily in the afternoons so I planned my rides only in the first half of the day. Also checking weather conditions for the day helps and best is to call local hotels or homestays and ask them about safety, they will know best and are always updated. Stay safe
