I lost to this combo yesterday, I had no idea it was even a thing, I had the opponent at 3 life with what I thought was a win next turn, the guy said good game, I thought he was going to concede, then he played this, took me a few seconds to realize it was infinite

Yeah, unfortunately this is absolutely everywhere. Everyone has a version becuase it’s so easy to trigger and you can do it multiple ways. It’s no worse than someone starting with Leyline and monstrous rage tho, but I figured they would keep the easy infinite combos out of standard.

Honestly, while i understand why many will not want it (what sense does it make to craft a card again just for a new artwork), The new Giada artwork is really better in comparison to the original, Looks more mature and imposing in comparison to the old one. Which fits so good with the fact she's a veteran from the New Phyrexian Incursion

I played Sloths version of this with tenacity and conqueror. Really good, forgot about the priest tho. Conqueror might get banned, I've beaten mono red down to 1 or 2 health several times and we know how Wizards loves their mono red players ...

Marauding Blight Priest's effect originally appeared on Sanguine Bond back in M10 and including MBP has been on eight different cards although Vizkopa Guildmage requires payment for an activated ability first rather than being an outright triggered ability. The second half of the combo originally appeared on Exquisite Blood back in 2012 with Avacyn Restored. This is the first and only time Exquisite Blood's effect has appeared on another card in Bloodthirsty Conquerer. With the release of M14 in July of 2013, Sanguine Bond was Reprinted into Standard and there was a two and a half month period where the combo was legal until the release of Theros caused the Innistrad Block to rotate out. Thanks to Foundations, the combo is now standard legal again and has the greatest redundancy to date with Starscape Cleric, Enduring Tenacity, and Marauding Blightpriest all representing Sanguine Bond and Bloodthirsty Conquerer representing Exquisite Blood. Barring any Bans, the combo will be much more long lasting thanks to the currently planned 5 years of legality for Foundations and both combo pieces being included though some of the redundancy will fall off when Bloomburrow and Duskmourn rotate out.

Its happening to me for real too, I have serious doubts the validity of my opponent that matchmaking gives me. 90% of the time they get god hands and I keep getting mana screwed or mana flooded and every game they seem to have exactly what they need to counter my decks. The 10% I do alright against is just because my opponent happens to be mana screwed. Wasn't quite so bad early rank but once I hit diamond rank it's all I seem to have to go up against.

Also, combos are but are not the same as loops and other "tricks" that leave the oponent waiting and watching the screen with a sigh, there's a diference, and worse than that, the sinergy where you are also waiting for 2 minutes and beyond while cards fly and graveyard this and an artifact that and I change whatever and then I do this but also that with infinite mana and blah blah blah so you have time to even make yourself a coffee... I would never play like this, it would embarrass me, regardless of what the game allows to do.

@mortuc1 it's still worth it, even if removed they need a second for of removal unless they exile it to begin with, it's really versatile in comparison to other cards

@mortuc1 I understand that, but more players run creature removal over enchantment removal which means once it's an enchantment it's harder to disrupt your wincon, I 100% understand the point because keeping on curve is the way to victory but at the same time so is board state setup.,, I've only been playing since midnight hunt and have only recently shifted to standard and historic play so you may understand how the format rolls a bit better than I do, so I do appreciate the information thank you

unfortunately after day 1 the algorithm has already been adjusted so only facing decks that are mirroring this deck. So its a 50/50 shot on winning. At least in my case. no progress at all. Oh well, back to demons which was owning before trying this one

Obviously you can steal wins here and there but with all the removal out there it's not gonna last in the meta. Also they've had a 4 mana board wipe since alpha. Wrath of God is the same card but stops regen.
