My new favorite erra song. Orchid used to hold the crown for such a long time. This one is gonna be crowed for a while now. Thank you
@SothorosDjents5 ай бұрын
Dang, I’ve never seen someone agree on that with me. Orchid is my favorite song by them too. This song doesn’t come close to replacing it for me but it is a beautiful, solid song. I just went back and listened to Drift and a couple other albums today to remind myself how different they sounded over the years and indeed, Drift stood out as something quite unique.

I see the end is coming Open the earth for me You couldn't see me going down To sink into the sea Finding a way to the softest source Breaking away was a conscious choice I knew then I was barely yours Felt my way through the dark I'm trying to pick up all the pieces I've been vacant and the clock is running Finding a way to the softest source Calling your name 'til I find my voice Outside the snow is falling As red as autumn leaves Beneath an alabaster moon Above the evergreen The waves crash And move away from me Finding a way to the softest source Breaking away was a conscious choice I knew then I was barely yours Felt my way through the dark I'm trying to pick up all the pieces I've been vacant and the clock is running Finding a way to the softest source Calling your name 'til I find my voice The waves crash And move away from me And if the end is coming Open the earth for me Finding a way to the softest source Breaking away was a conscious choice I knew then I was barely yours Felt my way through the dark I'm trying to pick up all the pieces I've been vacant and the clock is running Finding a way to the softest source Calling your name 'til I find my voice

This is by far the most mature song they've ever wrote. This song is the closest thing to something that ALL songwriters would unanimously agree, "yea this is a fantastic song, fantastic composition and music, nothing really extra that isn't needed, but exactly everything that IS needed". And man I love ALL ERRA , but dude this is the next level of songwriting for them. One good album with more stuff like this mixed in with the prog stuff and they might even hit ANOTHER new level. Fuckin love this band bro 💯

So... I love Metal/Core/Djent/Progressive music, and ERRA has always been top 10 since I heard Invent back when I was first exploring all of this music. This song is hands down the most refreshing Erra song I've ever heard. THIS, once in a while, is so welcomed. Ya'll never cease to amaze! 👌🤘 Edit: Then I read the lyrics and am going through a scenario in my life right now that this song has spoke to. Going through a breakup, 'a conscious choice' made by her. An unfortunately painful experience but (may sound silly)... reading these lyrics have made me understand why the decision was made and how to move on through life in a more constructive manner. Crazy how one of my favorite bands is unknowingly helping me come to terms with something that has been so difficult to understand. ❤
