lyrics: Spare me Our fabled tragedy Thinking That I could change your mind You've got me lost inside this headspace I'm stuck in the clouds and I'm not coming down I have to stop myself from staring When I get lost in your eyes but you feel nothing in mine Just one time I wish that I could replace The one that's holding my place beside you This line was reserved for your name But I've lost faith in the way I've loved you (The way I've loved you) Sparе me our fabled tragedy I laid it all on thе line and wasted so much time Thinking that I could change your mind I opened up my heart for you to break me It's wearing thin And I'd give anything to let go of this pain Erase what's been Tell me why I can't forget you I can't hold onto hope that our paths will collide (Our paths will collide) Here I'll stand, heart in hand without a pulse to stay alive Stay alive What hurts the most is how truly scared I was of you And all the time I spent overthinking Drowning inside my own sick and twisted mind Peace in you is something that I can't find I think it's time for me to let go I'll miss you more than you could ever know I'm sorry for the things I've never said You're the best friend that I ever had Spare me our fabled tragedy I laid it all on the line and wasted so much time Thinking that I could change your mind I opened up my heart for you to break me It's wearing thin And I'd give anything to let go of this pain Erase what's been Tell me why I can't forget you

If Twenty Years by Novelists and End Transmission by Fire From The Gods had a baby ....

You what is curious? This song and End transmission are Easley on my top 5 more listened songs and are my two favorite songs since like a year ago and I have never made a connection between them, but now that you mention it's curious to see that there is probably a connection or they are similar in such way that i find them both super exciting, like when you have a friend, and then you show him another friend and turns out that they were best friends years before they met you type of situation, now I'm going tho listen to the other song that you mentioned, im sure I'm going to like it too, thanks for your comment and for the realization ❤️

considering how far down the neck the bass player begins, i'm gonna say its safe to assume i can't play this on a 4 string.....
@AntonOhlin4 жыл бұрын
@@jasons.2787 Up your string gauge and it can be played on a 4 string. The highest 5 frets are never used. Pretty sure nothing except the A string is used.

From someone that knows nothing about guitars... What's it called when you both strum the same "chord".. like at the end of the intro/chorus. That sound is so heavy and just badass. Oceans ate Alaska does it alot and I've just always wanted to know what exactly it's called. Thanks in advance
@oscarmorales9291 Жыл бұрын
probbaly you know the answer by now but what they do is called palm muting, its done by putting the dorse of your palm on the very end of the strings to get that "percusivve" or "cutting" sound, by putting your hands on the end of the string they will vibrate enough to make the chord sound but will make the sustain shorter and the sound more muted by thus making it sound percussive and causing that efect, on the side note not only Oceans ate Alaska does that, it a techinque as common as the sun coming out every day in the mornings but really cool and a really good one

You guys got a tab for this??? I’d love to learn it myself :)
@brianbaugusmusic4 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Not to be that guy, but you should try taking a stab at learning at it by ear. This song isn't terribly complex guitar wise, this video is an instrumental version of the track with no vocals getting in the way of hearing the guitar, and you got really good video of the whole song being played on a guitar. Plus youtube has a solid slowdown feature, which helps alot for stuff like the solo at the end. It slows the video without changing the pitch. Try taking a stab at it. The more you do it the easier it gets and eventually you won't have to worry about finding tabs anymore!
@ShawnPoulding4 жыл бұрын
@@brianbaugusmusic you are officially ‘that guy’ ahaha. To be fair I got the majority of it with a couple play throughs it’s mainly the solo part but thanks for your support 🙃
