Having played boxing in U-19 and coming from family of boxers. I can relate so much to the mukkabaz training that he would have gone through. Shoulders, ribs, abdomen.., nose, teeth, tongue, cheek bones.. you feel it! Thats one sport that doesn't teach you to win the game, but to survive against most bad odds in your life outside the ring. Happy to watch that film with such realistic approach to the sport.

Started watching the interview of Vineet Kumar Singh, actor, famously known as for the movie "Mukkabaaz", on the youtube channel, named "Unfiltered by Samdish". I was watching that interview in my dining hall while having dinner with Mummy. Just in the initial part of the conversation, when Vineet started narrating his childhood stories and the story of the upbringing of a rural guy in the era, where watching movies was treated like a celebration, where the whole villagers generally gathered at same location on some special occasion for the screening of a movie on demand. Mummy asked me about Vineet's age with a firm belief and with some sort of awestruckness that he must belong to her generation only. I countered her that no, definitely not. He must be around mostly a guy of mid 30's. But I was wrong. I googled and became perplexed by his level of fitness considering his biological age. Vineet is a 44 year old champ. The thing which inspired me a lot, that at the age of 44, he is not giving up and is able to break the all set bondage of societal norms. He marry last year at the age of 43 after dating his wife for long 8 years. He started dating at the age of 35, when the society is ready to give you a tag that now everything is over, and there is a high time to settle down, basically quitting from the challenges of life. Fruit of love can be blossom at any age. It totally depends on person's ability to make the best of on his hand. One more misconception that Sir Vineet had broken successfully in the past, which unfortunately even the government thinks while inducting youths into the defence or police job. When Vineet was 39 years old, he gave his career best performance in Mukkabaaz, where the director Anurag Kashyap wanted a sheer level of perfection from him, and ordered him to learn boxing like a pro in late 30s. Vineet did it religiously and proved that age is just a number. Everything decides with our level of mental fitness only. We must come out from this vicious loop of linear thinking, where we think that everyone should follow the common clock. When destiny is different, how will the journey be the same? Loved the interview. Chote sheher se badhe sheher ka transition itna sundar bataya sir ne, "humare chote sheher mein gale milne ka matlab hota hai" college ke liye jab main lucknow se delhi toh yahi mehsoos karti thi. Badhe shehero mein log dil nahi kholte bhale hi bahein khol le parr chote shehero mein log dil khol lete hai chahe bahein kholne mein utna hi hichkichaye.
