This was a much needed interview! The injustice with Umar and how he was made into a villain with evidences overwhelmingly suggesting otherwise would be a case study for the future. I saw Umar in JNU multiple times, and once we crossed paths, I gave him a smile (because I knew him from TV after 2016 JNU protests) and he smiled back. Banojyotsna was my facebook friend (not pen friends, I used to read and give likes to her posts), till I left FB for good. Just felt like sharing these random details.
