Even tho I'm not a victim of incest, I went through other types of home violence and I was sexu4l abused from men outside. Our storys have a lot of similaritys, that's so sad 😔😔 I'm 27 and I have no contact with my family, none of them (nor the man who raped me) was ever charged for any type of crime.

Its a whole lot of reasons. Seeing films, photos, magazines, experiencing certain degrading moments, growing up with no guidance, no adults in the home, rubbing shoulders with the wrong people, crowded homes and a whole host of other godless experiences.

Unfortunately, it is almost always an easy-access type of crime, and so many people in the public, and those who have never experienced it, including men don’t understand. They will never understand because most men don’t/cant empathize with us females, but because they are physiologically wired differently than we are. Not that it’s only easy access, the abuse usually starts when the victim is very, very young. Myself being seven years old,. Abusers heavily rely on intimidation and scare tactics. As if it’s not enough to keep us quiet by the sexual abuse itself, which usually is, they will threaten to physically harm and even KILL other family members, ESPECIALLY younger siblings. I didn’t have younger siblings at the time but I did have young cousins and the last thing I wanted was for any of those little girls to suffer the flames 🔥 of HELL he put me thru. You will likely see many more outward expressions and stories of sexual abuse more than physical abuse and that’s due to a few reasons. 1) the abuser wants to keep everything quiet, so the last thing he wants is to have physical outward signs of abuse. 2) The abusers usually don’t have to get to a point of physical abuse to control and manipulate. The sexual abuse is exceedingly enough. Etc. I hope that helps .❤️

Mothers and fathers, if your partner is abusive, PLEASE keep them away from your children. Please keep your babies close and pay attention to them. Ask them frequently what is going on in their sweet, precious little worlds and make sure they understand that NO ONE should touch their private places.. and they should not touch anyone else’s 🙏

One of the worst things that families and others do to victims is dismiss their pain and trauma because "your not the only one it's happened to" or "this or that person went on with their life after"...every person reacts differently...every person can't just carry on like nothing happened. It really pisses me off 😒

Her brothers where just children and not horrible people because they were also victims of abuse too. And why aren't you criticizing her mother who was an adult, for not protecting her children?? You're treating the mother as more of a victim than her brothers and the mother was the adult in the situation who had a choice to take the children out of that violent situation and she didn't.

She went through so much. I do think since she went through all of this alone and the one time she tells anyone it’s her aunt that dismissed it. That’s an awful feeling. Then she thinks maybe call the abuse isn’t a big deal or that others go through it so I don’t need to speak up. She seen that reaching out for help when she was young didn’t matter. I’m glad when she got older she finally has supportive friends that encouraged her to write a book that helps her and others. And her speaking out about the abuse to help others that can relate. It’s true that many people will belittle you or think it’s your fault you’ve been abused and that can make us feel ashamed for sharing our stories. As she said it’s our story and we will talk out it even if others don’t understand or choose not to understand.

@@ChiyanatitoI keep hearing story after story from women on the continent. So many countries. And then victims are always blamed, just like most sexual assault victims here in the US. Two ladies on this show, one from Nigeria, and one from Senegal (I think), even said that their moms put hot pepper in their wounds after they beat them or their moms would put freshly ground pepper in their private parts and rectum if they found out about them not being virgins. Moms who knew the girls’ virginities were Stolen. I’m so sorry. Jesus.

Another heartbreaking story. I’m disappointed that not one person cared enough to protect her. As moms it is our responsibility to ask our children if anyone has ever been inappropriate with them. Sorry this happen to you. Your story brought tears to my eyes. Of course as a child you can not comprehend sexual abuse or even what is happening or what it means. I can relate to being molested as a child. Also sitting to myself and no one coming to my help. To loose your daughter on top of all you have been through, I can't believe it, I am so sorry. As if the story was not devastating enough as she tells it, at 4:55 I GASPED. I was seven years old the first time that I was sexually assaulted and raped by my uncle. I would never know my world as it was prior to the first assault. My mother also turned a willful blind eye. The VERY person who is SUPPOSED to PROTECT us. 😢 Geeze. I’m so very very sorry for the loss of your daughter. 😭 It’s a really long and arduous road to help oneself deal with the emotional trauma. Only a week ago I tearfully put my dramatic, trauma-making family members in my rear view mirror, to stay. Stay strong my love. YOU ARE BRAVER than you think and YOU ARE ENOUGH.

As the man (Gen 1:26-28) KJV, a husband (Gen 2:21-25) and a father (Gen 3:16), the minister of God (Rom 13), teacher (Eph 4) and one of the survivors who was bullied in school, I am so sorry this happened to you. This is infuriating.. the women in my family were matriarchs. They ran the household. Even when they were poor and lived in shotgun homes and shacks as sharecroppers... my grandma and great grandma didn't play. My mother says I'm a lot like my grandma. I will take a skillet to your head if you mess with me or mine, thank God I've never been thru anything like this because I'd probably be in jail. I feel so deeply pained by all these stories..its unimaginable what A LOT of women all over this globe has been thru at the hands of men.

Shame on that mother to abuse her children. She should've had tht shame aggression towrds the father thr was beating her & her babies. Truly sick ppl out here.
