"Unfolding the Secrets of Karbi Anglong: A Storytelling Session".

Dear friends, I'm honored to share with you the story of Hor, the traditional alcohol of our Karbi community. This is a story passed down through generations, and I'm humbled to be a part of its retelling.
According to our oral tradition, Hor has its roots in the ancient times, when our ancestors first settled in the hills of Karbi Anglong. The story goes that our forefathers discovered the art of brewing Hor from the gods themselves.
As the legend has it, the gods were pleased with the Karbis' hospitality and decided to impart the knowledge of brewing Hor to them. And so, our ancestors learned the intricacies of fermenting rice, millet, and other local ingredients to create this potent brew.
Over time, Hor became an integral part of our Karbi culture, playing a significant role in our social, religious, and cultural practices. From weddings to festivals, and from rituals to casual gatherings, Hor has been a consant companion to our community.
However, I must acknowledge that there may be different versions of this story, as oral traditions often evolve over time. I apologize if my retelling may vary from the versions you may have heard.
Despite these variations, one thing remains certain - Hor is an integral part of our Karbi identity, and its significance extends beyond its role as a beverage. It represents our community's resilience, creativity, and hospitality.
