On the 'first photograph of a human', I see two people. Doesn't the guy shining the shoes count.

Technically you are correct. The first a time human(s) caught on camera.

The guy having his shoes shined is wealthier, and therefore counts as more alive than the shoe shiner.

I could have been that baby in the 1st digital photo. I don't feel that old but the difference between then and now sure has me felling that way! I worked in 2 different photo places (Technicolor and the other was 50 years ago, I don't remember, Baltimore Photo?) and have seen a lot of changes in the field but still...

Love seeing photo firsts like the very first photo ever taken in 1826 (is there an exact date when that was taken?) Like if was taken before July 4th Jefferson and Adams are still alive then they will die on that day 50 years to the day of the Declaration of Independence

I have been unable to find the exact date ... It is known that it took several hours of exposure and the result was really crude...The posted photo is enhanced so that you can make it out. I also found the original pre-enhanced and it's almost completely black.
