Hello everyone!

🏯Botapsa Temple
🏞보탑사
Botapsa Temple is said to have been built in 1996 as a space for nuns and monks to practice meditation on a site that was said to have been a temple site during the Goryeo Dynasty.
In the center of the yard is the Great Unification Pagoda of Botapsa Temple. This pagoda is a three-story wooden pagoda modeled after the nine-story wooden pagoda of Hwangnyongsa Temple during the Silla Dynasty and is said to be the largest existing wooden pagoda in Korea.
The height alone is 42.73m, the height of a 14-story apartment building, and 29 pillars support the wooden pagoda, which was built in the traditional style without using any nails.
It is the only structure in Korea that allows access to three floors. The first floor is Daeungjeon, the second floor is Beopbojeon, and the third floor is Mireukjeon, all connected by internal stairs.
Since Botapsa Temple was a place for nuns and monks, it had more cute features than other temples.
At Botapsa Temple, you can see the Reclining Buddha, a statue of Buddha that is rarely seen in Korea.
There is a large Buddha footstone at the entrance in front of the reclining Buddha statue. It is said that when it rains, the fish engraved in the footprints swim and create the optical illusion that they are alive and moving.
Botapsa Temple in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province is a beautiful garden with a small yet cozy feel. It is one of the temples that you must visit at least once in North Chungcheong Province.
🌁Suspension Bridge ‘Chopyeong Lake Mir 309’
🌉출렁다리 '초평호 미르309'
The longest suspension bridge in the country without a pylon, a tower that supports the highest point of the main cable, is located in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province.
It is 309m long and 1.6m wide and crosses Chopyeong Lake, connecting the Mir Forest Trail and Chopyeong Youth Training Center.
‘Mir’ means ‘dragon’ in pure Korean, and ‘309’ is the length of the bridge. The name relates to the 309m long dragon bridge, and when you look at it from a distance, it looks like a huge dragon burping.
You are able to enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery of Jincheon-gun at a glance without any inconvenience, and is establishing Nongdari and the Chopyeong Lake area as a representative tourist destination in North Chungcheong Province.
At first you have to walk on a trail to get to the bridge.
When you get there the view is stunning. May seem a bit frightening to walk on the brindge because it moves continuously, however the experience ia amazing!
Even with my fear of heights I wanted to walk on it and take great photos while enjoying the view.
🧱Saenggeojincheon Nongdari Festival
🌉진천농다리축제
This was a festival held under the theme of Nongdari, which is the 28th local tangible cultural property of Chungcheongbuk-do and is the greatest stone bridge in Asia that has been around for a thousand years.
The Jincheon Nongdari Bridge is a bridge that coexists with people who cross it when alive to farm, and when they die, who cross it on a flower bier.
The 24th Saengjincheon Nongdari Festival, which was prepared to focus on being held in April, the season of spring, for the first time in history.
A large crowd of people gathered at the festival held in Nongdari, Munbaek-myeon from the 19th to the 21st April, and it lived up to its name as a representative festival in the Jincheon region.
The Jincheon Nongdari Bridge, which consists of 28 piers, was built by Gwon Shin and General Lim in the early Goryeo Dynasty.
It is the longest stone bridge in Korea and has unique construction techniques.
It was designated as a tangible cultural property.
While the experience center and performance hall were set up around Nongdari, the beautiful Mir Forest on the other side provided healing to visitors.
For example, the 'Chopyeong Lake Mir 309' Suspension Bridge, the newly renovated Yonggogae 'Dragon Sculpture', and the Mir Forest Outdoor Concert Hall, which received the most attention, emerged as the main characters of this Nongdari Festival.
This received great praise as it presented not only abundant food and entertainment, but also a natural scenery.
We had great time, tried delicious food, drink traditional magkeoli and experienced a lot of activities.
