Dude! I was watching a KZbin video and it locked up while repeating a word the woman was saying even when I closed it shut! It seems like the damn thing was possessed, which I know it wasn’t. I searched locked frozen chrome book and tried this esc, refresh, power button trick and got back my sanity. Thank you!! You’re awesome!

this morning it worked and now it doesn't... no matter what I try. Its 11 months old and not my daily computer. I may use it 1 hour or 2 daily at most. Now its just a brick.... plugged in power and the led went on for about 5 min until it was full since it was full before I shut it off. Now no matter what I have tried it doesn't work... reset button+esc+pwr.... reset+pwr.... fiddling with power cbl as well... also changed chargers... I've never experienced this with any computer. Its the last asus chromebook I will buy. Any ideas?

Yes, the Esc+Refresh+Power Button. This boots a recovery mode. Ignore it and reboot the chromebook with the power button (off then on). This should work!
