The age of the Earth/universe is probably the biggest one. Speciation used to be, but it seems creationists are increasingly accepting that. The amount of space that animals' bodies take up, or if not that, then the speed at which evolution happens. (That's regarding Noah's Flood and its aftermath.) Depending on how extreme they are, it could also be stuff like the shape of the Earth, whether or not there's a dome covering it, and how big and far away stars are. There are more niche things, but of course, no single one of them would come up in very many conversations.

You still have to check the passages and read for yourself. Even though Aron is correct on plenty to completely nullify any 'evidence' for any religion possibly being true, not everything he says is written as he says it is and some of it could very well mean something completely different from what we think it does. What I mean by that last bit is that our translations are definitely not accurate. Take for instance that seed thing. Most scholars will probably agree that it means offspring in all cases in the bible, probably without exception, but the stories were written by different authors, in different times, in different languages. It's not written in one language, by one author, who still had the literary freedom to not be consistent if that ads something to the story, point or poetry. So there is still valid criticism to be made about the interpretation and translation of that one word and you would have to look up the passage to see the context and check to see what biblical scholars have to say about it. That said, even if the word seed meant something else, it would be unnecessary nitpicking and it wouldn't undermine his point. The chapter is very clearly about Israel, _just like it says it is_ and there is no dispute about that among scholars. Only apologists and conspiracy theorists think it's about Jesus, but do keep in mind that you can expect such nitpicking to be used to draw the attention away from the fact that regardless if Aron got anything wrong (or was inaccurate or sloppy), the 'prophecy' still wasn't about Jesus before he was born, nor has there ever been one and all prophecies in the bible have failed, except for the self-fulfilling prophecy of a nation rebuilding itself which was only fulfilled partly and is pretty much a Barn...(Barnam, ...ham, something? The one I found the most compelling was learning that there are many bad translations that have remained in the Bible even though translators have tried to correct them, but they are so fundamental to the modern doctrine of Christianity that Christians throw a hissy fit whenever translators try to make a more accurate translation. The Septuagint is known for being a very shoddy translation, some of the books are translated very well into Greek, some are very poor. The prophecy that Christians, and the apostles, thought was predicting Jesus would be born of a virgin was based off of a faulty translation from Hebrew to Greek, the original text, when translated correctly does not mention a virgin, it just mentions a young women, but when this error has been attempted to be corrected, Christians insist that the bad translation from thousands of years ago needs to remain in the Bible.

Theism is an addiction of thoughts. Theists mistake attention getting motivational reward neurochemicals (evolved for energy gathering for the perpetuation of the species) as a paranormal event/contact (Holy Dopamine Ghost). These neurochemical processes reinforce neural pathways in the brain in order to repeat thoughts, and behaviours. Dopamine in varying levels is also related to creativity, patternicity, making nonsense make sense, and hallucinations (Involuntary movements, and speaking in tongues are forms of hallucinations. Also see Dopamine Hypothesis). What would the average person experience if they believed they won a million dollar scratch-off ticket? That same feeling through thoughts is achieved by drugs like alcohol, nicotine, and cocaine (Dopamergic release). Now imagine that same person refusing to look at the back of the ticket that reads "Redeem at 123 fake st Anywhere USA". Now apply this analogy to someone believing John 3:16. Check out the science with history in the playlist, and description area. If you find it sound, and worth spreading? eh he says that this verse is not about the messiah. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand He says that this is about israel. When this is not. The bible would say oh Israel. secondly the bible uses "he". You can ask an atheist scholar and he would say that mention the messiah i mean come on. We have a nobody here that make videos about the bible when he don't even understand what he is reading. Then he would go to a rabbi HAHAH ofcourse. The rabbi would say that oh it's about israel because that would go against their own "religion". Therefore he would have gone to the real atheist scholars. Then he claims that "he shall see his seed" this one means birth. well no it means that there would be followers of this king. because they chose to write that after when they wrote that they killed him. in other words they first said that God killed him and then he shall see his seed. it does make sense. and the bible often mention "seed". to illustrate something that is going to grow. like I want to put a seed into someones head about the gospel... He also says that "he shall prolong his days". means that jesus will be immortal on earth eh no. It chose to pick that phrase after they wrote "God killed him". and indeed prolong his life. when he ressuracted .

That particular guy just wasn't thinking or explaining it well. Glad he has faith, but reason is important too. God did not create himself, nor did he need to. Only in a universe and dimension where time and material exists does something have to have a beginning. Science concludes that our universe and even time itself had a beginning. I reason that such a fine tuned universe had to be designed, and therefore there was a designer. That designer would have to exist outside of time to create it. He couldn't be entirely a part of His creation. He is not limited by time or space. He would have to be timeless and immaterial. Philosophically speaking only things that exist within time, and are affected by entropy, are expected to have a beginning. God, being timeless as he must be to create time, does not need a beginning. He simply always existed.

@@johnbee3416 There is plenty of evidence that there is an intelligent designer. You don't always have to believe evidence...and evidence doesn't always show the absolute truth...but to say there is no evidence is foolish. Furthermore, there is a plethora of evidence, mostly in the form of written accounts, and historical records, including religious scriptures many of which paint a congruent picture of God as being the God of Abraham (Note that all of the major religions in the world that anyone really takes seriously are all rooted in this Abrahamic God) Further note, all this involves what we term survey, which is a legitimate scientific tool. If enough people have written accounts of something...we can safely decide it's probably true. Or it at least serves as evidence that what they say is true. How do you think we've come to the conclusion that Julius Caesar lived. We know quite a bit about him...yet none of us have seen him with our own eyes. It would be ridiculous to disregard all of the accounts of him, and just say he was a mythological character....and it is just as ridiculous for you to disregard all accounts of God, as not being evidence. The problem for me personally is that from the earliest age I was indoctrinated in the Catholic Church. As a young teen I met Jehovah witnesses and born agains who made sense in my confused, depressed and seeking redemption mind. I’ve searched and searched and came to the conclusion that no religion is close to reality, that perhaps there’s just a hint and yang, a dark and light, a right and wrong rhythm to the universe and that “true” religion is simply walking through life trying your best to do as little harm as possible to humans, animals and this amazing planet we are bent on destroying. I think all religion needs to be done away with as every religion condones violence, slavery, hatred and gives each group the idea that every other group is inferior, therefore annihilating the “unbeliever” is simply gods good work. So my problem is that no matter how much sense it makes that the Bible is wrong (and I do believe it’s a fairy tale), at 52 I still wrestle with the “what if’s”. What if, by some magic trick, there is a God, a Christ, a Mohammed and I miss the ride to the pearly gates? I’ve concluded that my indoctrination, the brainwashing from kindergarten to 9th grade was so complete that I still have difficulties fully accepting the overwhelming truth, reason and science that is laid out in front of me. Which brings me to my final thought; I think it should be a crime to teach any religion to any child under the age of perhaps 16 to 18. It’s the ultimate child abuse to plant in a young mind that you can and will be cast into a lake of fire for eternity if you disobey your parents, miss mass, covet thy neighbor or not accept Jesus as your personal savior. I’ve experienced my niece’s confusion, anger, self loathing and self mutilation because my sister went JW and talks non stop about the end days, punishment and my poor nieces failure (as she perceives) to adhere to the never ending, humanly impossible rules these sickos set down. It’s child abuse, it’s worse then a beating because it can last a lifetime. Thank you for these informative, enlightening videos. I wish that it would be equally required education as religion is so that both sides can be presented and perhaps then logic would prevail and there’d be so many less reasons and excuses to massacre our fellow man💜

Great video. And I especially appreciated how you brought in the Jewish understanding of the Old Testament and how this shows that Jesus fulfilled NO biblical prophecies. That is one thing that always puzzled me as a Christian: Christians take the Old Testament and insist that it is their book too and that JAYSUS is everywhere in it and that he supposedly filled "hundreds of prophecies" found in it. Yet, the Jews rejected Jesus and, ever since, have appealed to the Old Testament itself for clear reasons for this rejection. Either the Jews have the Old Testament right; or Christians do. They both cannot be right. Well, when I finally took the plunge, read the Old Testament in biblical Hebrew, and made it a point to read it without "Christian lenses", it wasn't long before I came to see that all of those biblical prophecies that Jesus supposedly fulfilled were nothing but out-of-context cherry-picked verses. If you actually look at these verses in CONTEXT, then it is pretty obvious that the Jews were right all along: Jesus fulfilled NOTHING, despite what he may have claimed. And then it was obvious why Christians MUST cherry pick out-of-context: because this is the only way that they CAN cram Jesus into these texts. Just notice how your typical Christian will blurt out "Isaiah 7:14!!!" but cannot tell you what the CONTEXT of Isaiah chapter 7 even is! I've asked Christians this very question and all they can say is: "it's all about JAYSUS and his virgin birth!!! Derp!!!" Um, no it isn't! It's about King Ahaz and his war against two kingdoms - the Northern Kingdom and Assyria, and he wants to know if he will survive what seems to be dire circumstances. This is 700 years before Jesus was even born!! So how would King Ahaz benefit by a "sign" that won't occur for another 700 years?? It boggles the mind just how STUPID this is. This would be like King Henry V asking his court astrologer what was about to happen at the soon-to-take-place Battle of Agincourt back in 1415, and being told by that prophet: “Behold, a Princess of Wales named Diana will be killed in an accident!” Um, what?? Yeah, OK…but what does something that happens in 1997 have to do with the king’s question being asked in 1415: will he survive tomorrow’s battle??? Not to mention: what even IS this sign? Christians insist it's "the virgin birth." Um, so how is some chick's virginity a "sign"? Will this chick have a certificate handy proving that she really was a virgin!?! Are they going to check her hymen to make sure it is still intact? BTW, one last thing that was the final nail in the coffin for Christianity from reading the Old Testament: according to Christianity, only a BLOOD SACRIFICE atones for sins, and that is why "we need JAYSUS!!!" Yet, if Christians actually bothered to read Leviticus and the sin offerings therein, they would discover that the sin offerings from Leviticus (which includes the blood sacrifices) are only for unintentional sins. Furthermore, if someone could not afford to bring an animal sacrifice, they could offer flour instead as an offering for the atonement of sin. That right there tells you that a blood sacrifice is NOT the necessary condition for the atonement of sins, as Christians falsely claim. And this, too, is what any Jew knowledgeable in the Old Testament will tell you.

Cause I can explain either pretty easily.
@richardholmes71996 жыл бұрын
Yes, could you clarify more on that?
@wadespencer36236 жыл бұрын
+Richard Holmes So you mean both? Voodoo is the result of syncretism between traditional West African religions and Catholicism, where traditional gods or spirits were combined with Catholic priests and the head god with the Christian one. Hinduism is a thousands of years old spiritual tradition with many extremely complex branches that don't entirely agree with one another. It appears to have come from a mix of the beliefs of the invading Aryans and the natives of the Indus valley, although its earliest forms are difficult to know because they would have come before writing. As for LaVeyan Satanism, it's a combination of a philosophy and a fun club. It's only called Satanism to annoy Christians. No actual worship of Satan takes place. Most "Satanist" branches are this way, with the few theistic branches usually seeing Satan as a rebel against God's authoritarianism and cruelty. And besides those, there's also a lot of bands that use satanic imagry to A- shock Christian parents and B- represent evil. Black Sabbath mentioned the devil sometimes in their music as a BAD thing.

Everyone can be a great prophet. Here's how you do it: First, make sure you be as vague as possible and predict mostly things that have always been true and will always be true. Talk about great empires falling, a great person coming to the rescue of some unspecified repressed people, talk about a golden age for your chosen people after a long period of hardship, perils and dangers. Don't make the mistake to provide dates, that made the Jehova's Witnesses look like idiots. Never give dates for your prophecies. These things will eventually come true, simply because that's how it has always been. There have been "everlasting" empires in the past and all of them fell eventually, no oppressed people were so forever and every people had its golden age at some point in time, and it was usually gained by fighting better than their peers or simply being more industrial, better traders or simply work hard while others rested on what their ancestors did (for reference, see Rome or for a more recent example, the USA). These prophecies WILL come true. As long as you don't give an expiration date.

Just some food for thought: The Biblical prophecies did have an expiration date. The Messiah had to come to the existing temple in Israel at the time, the temple burned down 70 AD, after existing for a long time. Further, these prophecies over the course of hundreds of years by multiple people had to line up with one person. The odd thing is, is that while modern Rabbis twist the prophecies to refute Jesus, 2000 years ago it was in expectation of a man, and ever since those same prophecies have been converting many, many Jews because it's hard to read it accurately and say it's not the recorded Jesus.

That was an experiment. If there is an afterlife, if a ghost or something survives death and can communicate with the still living, then he would communicate with his wife and his close friend (the friend a believer greatly desiring proof) with prearranged verification/words/"user name". Certainly if anyone could find the way he could. He never contacted wife or friend from beyond. Many mediums contacted them (especially trying to prey on the wife) but not one had the agreed upon code to prove it was him. Which hardly proves there is no life after death, but also fails to prove there is. If the experiment was successful, it showed "sorry, it's over".
