as someone who loves making things from scratch, as in making my own vinegar, flour from wheat, chips from corn meal etc, ANY step towards becoming more self sufficient is amazing and should be appreciated in my opinion, especially with how much trixie works and how easy it is to buy premade everything. grating your own cheese, growing/cutting fresh herbs, it just tastes better! and usually uses less plastic, less GHGs from shipping/delivery etc, any small step of "doing it yourself" is cool. :)

As a post office employee, I’m obsessed that y’all called out the customer service. Honestly, the only reason why most people are like that is because most people working the window specifically don’t have a lot of tolerance for constant stupid questions. Also, what most people don’t realize is that your package or letter or whatever you are sending has to be ready to go before starting a transaction at the counter. “Ready to go” meaning: taped up or sealed, addressed with both destination and return addresses, packaged in a manner that will safely mail your item to get it to its destination. Contrary to popular belief, USPS is NOT a packaging and shipping service, it’s solely a SHIPPING service, meaning we are not required to help you, in fact we are not ALLOWED to, liability-wise, help you prepare your packages for mailing. Hence why all preparations must be completed by the customer mailing the items. Because of this we get a lot of people approaching our counters unprepared and after a while, we get annoyed with it, hence the grouchy attitude. Now do you get why are constantly yelling at people? 😂 Okay, sorry, rant over.

Sorry, frenger. We’ve all been there at some point. It happened to me when I was like 17. Immediately went to my boyfriend’s house and went to town on it with some fiskers to tame the damage.
