Katya was just in a bad place mentally and would text mean stuff to trixie (this was all while AS3 was airing). Having seen “Moving Parts” and seeing a bit of the hardships they endured before being brought back together here makes their reunion all the more precious 😭 I keep thinking back to what Trixie said in the film 😭 “I wish Katya and I were still friends. Everyone keeps saying, ‘Oh, you’re fine without her.’ That’s not the point. The point isn’t whether or not I can continue to have a career without her. That’s never been the point. I don’t like being on my own as much as I liked being friends with her. You can survive on your own. I preferred surviving with her.” 💔 So glad these two found their way back to each other again, not just for the sake of fans of UNHhhh, but for the sake of themselves and their personal happiness 😭💞

Katya checked herself into rehab afterwards and during that time she sent Trixie all sorts of nasty text messages (as she was very paranoid at the time). They didn’t speak for a while after that but made up shortly after Katya basically got clean, I believe. Katya went backstage to one of Trixie’s shows and they chatted. Katya would apologise some time after that!

In the original there was no “and pose” but when they redid it for “season 2”, they wanted to imitate it and thus the “And pose” was added by Trixie. So really, this is just back to the original. I like to think they just do it in 1 take without considering how it will be different. For the authenticity.

As a recovering addict myself, I have to commend Trixie on forgiving Katya. It shows how kind, empathetic, understanding and mature she is. I’m assuming they spent some time rekindling their friendship before jumping into this episode. I hope Katya wasn’t too anxious to film this episode. Speaking from experience, she was probably so riddled with guilt for everything she said to Trixie. But Trixie is acting like no time has past, and like she was never hurt by what Katya said. She understands that it wasn’t Katya speaking, it was her demons and addiction. She should be commended on that more than anything. Her character is so much more impressive than coming back to UNHhhh with a sceptre and a crown 👏🏼
