So I don't know if you've seen it, but Edgar and the snake in Ella Enchanted were modeled after Prince John and Sir Hiss from Disney's 1973 Robin Hood animated movie. Ella Enchanted paid homage to a bunch of classic Disney movies while still telling its own story which is super cool. And if you haven't seen Disney's animated Robin Hood you should definitely watch it even if you choose not to react to it. It's one of my favorite Disney movies and I think you guys might really enjoy it.

Yet another retelling of the Cinderella fairy tale, but quite entertaining. Lucy Punch (oldest stepsister Hattie) has practically made a career of playing Cinderella's stepsister. -"Cinderella" (2000) -"Ella Enchanted" (2004) -"Cinderella" (2008) -"Into the Woods" (2014) And how interesting to see Cary Elwes almost unrecognizable as Prince Char's evil uncle. All this talk of an alcoholic character; if they only knew Joanna Lumley's most famous character 'Patsy', from "Absolutely Fabulous"... Note: The giantess that flirts with the 'lawyer'-elf is played by supermodel Heidi Klum. Would REALLY REALLY like you to react to "Warm Bodies" some Wednesday soon! Oct 30th would be PERFECT!

If I had a nickel every time Cary Elwes appeared in a Fantasy fairytale comedy, I have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s crazy it happened twice already (e.g. _Princess Bride_ and _Ella Enchanted)._ And even more funny that Lucy Punch who played the ugly stepsister, Hattie in _Ella Enchanted_ also played another ugly stepsister in _Into the Woods_ ten years later after _Ella Enchanted_
@videohistory722Ай бұрын
And 2000's Cinderella, and the Cinderella episode of Fairy Tales. Even better, it's actually not typecasting. When she was a little girl, when everyone else wanted a princess party, she asked for an ugly stepsister party. This is literally a dream come true for her.
@EChaconАй бұрын
@@videohistory722 Yeah you actually mentioned it in either your own comment or to someone on Sophia Phan’s reaction to _Ella Enchanted_ But I just find it interesting to see Lucy play an Evil Stepsister in _Ella Enchanted_ and _Into the Woods_ respectively and the aforementioned titles you mentioned regardless of typecast or her preference.

Anne Hathaway is an amazing singer. She played the role of Fantine in the film of Les Misérables in 2012, she won several awards for it including an Oscar Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. This character does not have a lot of onscreen time. Honestly she is incredible, if all you do is jump on KZbin and watch the scene where she sings 'I dreamed a dream', you will be shook.

I was excited when I saw this reaction pop up. I love this movie. I think my favorite is King Edgar too, because I absolutely love Cary Elwes. For other movies with him I would recommend my two favorites. For fun Mel Brook's "Men in Tights" again, although it might be good for Quynh to watch Robin Hood first or at least know the Robin Hood story and characters. It's a good movie no matter what, but that would make it funnier, because humor tends to get lost a bit when one doesn't get references and I don't know if she has seen any Robin Hood movie yet. I know you have already reacted to it, but it would be fun to see you both watch it together. And for a serious movie "Kiss the Girls", a thriller with Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd.

Lucinda was the real villain of the movie and gave Ella hell throughout her life. When she got peed on, that what she deserved. In that cake scene, I thought Ella was doing that on purpose until I realized it was the curse. For the ogres, that was a lot of Plummer's crack.
@EChaconАй бұрын
@@knytewing3107 Yup all because of Lucinda giving Ella the "Gift of Obedience” which resulted in Ella being ordered to do things by others, even Hattie the ugly stepsister was also no better than Lucinda as she took the necklace that belonged to Ella’s mother and also ordered and humiliated Ella during the first act of the film. Frankly I say Lucinda and Hattie were the real villains IMHO, instead of the actual main villain, Edgar.
