@@terry85mar Its not the police fault they are only going by the law. If anyone is at fault its the mom who left her daughter there with the women and you sound very ignorant putting blame on a kid who was probably scared for her life. I dont understand why there were no welfare checks done on Louise at any point. And I don't understand how her mother didn't take matters into her own hands. Nothing would stop me from checking on my daughter. ESPECIALLY if I saw her with a black eye. The mother could have watched Patricia's house from a distance and known when her daughter was home alone and shown up then. That poor girl.

So funny, bc I don’t date, due to the fact I have a young daughter to protect. Women are not who I’m worried about - more than 80% of homicides in the US are committed by men. And most of the rest are self-defense, protecting ourselves or our children from men.

The mom never really wanted her daughter. That’s why she left her there so easily. And based off her (lack of) teeth, substances were involved.

I think everyone is underestimating the power Patricia had over Louise and at 16 years of age the police are powerless if the teen doesn’t want to live at home or isn’t requesting assistance. 😢 My guess is that Patricia was getting the social security payments for Louise as well as the money for her father.

I am an african mother. You tell me i can't see my daughter and I'll bring your door down faster than you can say jack!! Louise's mother failed her and I'm sure guilt must be killing her by now. I'm disappointed in her. She didn't fight for her daughter. So sad.

Honestly, why would Brent get life without parole? He should get life with parole after 25, and Cherylle should get life without parole, or at least, he should get the same sentence as Cherylle. Besides, he was 16 at the time. Can't the system just try him as a juvenile?
