Guys, I have a serious question. Does this game have an active community to play online? The thing is that I really want to buy it on Steam because It looks similar to Melty Blood and Guilty Gear, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Should I buy it?

Definitely. There's a lot fewer people than playing something like SF6 or Tekken, but there's enough to get consistent games at most times of day Also the community for this game is very passionate and does a lot of their own events. Plus discords are pretty active with people sharing tech and looking for games Also if you like Melty Blood you'll love this game. The games share an engine and you can feel a lot of similarities in the way gameplay is designed

Don't bother, it's a complete waste of money until they incorporate cross console play. Even on sale, you'll be sitting in a lobby for hours until you find a match. UNI is also not beginner friendly...like at all. Because the cross console play was not implemented. Finding new players on Discord is impossible and the veteran players wont play you if your new. They will just send you to the begginers room where I had no luck at all finding new players on the PS5. This is because gamers mostly flock to PC. I'm not a PC gamer. Other than maybe the Sims, I completely get turned off to the concept, and I don't feel like investing another $60 to support their game when I had brought the console version already and it did not deliver on the online play. French Bread should have just put the game only on PC if they are not going to support the PS5 version at all. And even despite that, the 100 or so players that pick up the game every day is just not worth the price, it's just not, and yes the PC version has seen those numbers cause I watched a fellow UNI player cover the issue and no one ever wants to acknowledge it. That's my piece on it. Maybe I'm wrong but the game was a complete disappointment for me all around

Hey, French Bread! How about you add cross console play so that people who brought the PS5 version can actually find matches instead of investing another $60 into the PC version? Can't wait to be rammed by UNI police for having criticisms about the game, but this is a legitimate problem and because of that. I would never recommend the PS5 version to anyone.

The reason why cross play won't be in UNI is because it cost. They literally can't afford unless the game get massive. There's nothing to blame, it's just money. When you buy niche game like this you should always aim for the PC version. The game is insane, it's just doesn't have enough people as the big titles but the PC community is active especially if you hop to discord servers.
