UNICEF PNG (2023)_Deworming exercise at Monfort Primary School in Kiunga, Western Province

Close to 1200 students, including about 150 elementary youngsters aged between 5 and 19 years receive deworming tablets while 1,068 adolescents between 10 and 19 years at also received an Iron Folic Acid supplement AT Saint Monfort Primary School in Kiunga, Western Province. Deworming helps children absorb vital nutrients from food by killing worms in the intestine while IFA helps prevent anaemia.
