07/07/2024 - Entirely filmed and edited on my new phone, Sony Xperia 1 mk vi. Still a lot of learning to be had with settings etc... but fairly happy with the 4k 120 footage for a first attempt!

Just finished watching the session -- so much good stuff! - The slo-mo on your 540-540 helped me understand the 540 hand-pass needed to land it seat in. I re-watched quite a few times. Sooo clean. - Fakie varial backflip (?) was a ridiculously techy trick. Well done, I only ever remember trying those and never came very close back in my hay-day. - Varial flips away from your front foot look awesome. Yours look like what I want mine to look like whenever I get them back lol. You landed a clean one, but still wanted it cleaner. Respect! - The out-backside 270 varial (no idea what this is called) to tire is probably my fav trick of this whole thing. I couldn't have even imagined that as something to give a go. This new phone has some banger quality on this camera! I had trouble hearing you at some spots and had to crank my volume wayyy up. Glad I did since you were talking about individually practicing seat forward and seat backwards spins before putting them together. Seems obvious but practicing the individual parts of a combo before putting them together is something that occurs to me, but I just never do it out of stubborn-ness lol. I really should take that approach! Vlog style was mega enjoyable! Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks Brendan! Saw your post on Skrrrt too ❤️ This is my second Xperia phone, largely because of the 4k 120 fps, it's crazy good! When I get the colours and exposure sorted this footage will be unreal 👌 Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comments! I changed my outspins to away from front foot like 10 years back, originally I went towards. This made varial flips easier as I naturally twist that direction as well! Fakie tricks are the jam man, get some different ones in your next session! (Your fakie 3 spin was sick!) The inwards backside 270 was strange man...should be just trying inwards varial backside spins next it seems! Glad the slow motion helps you learning some techniques! I'll consider more vlog videos, but will try to do them with easier tricks/less attempts for ease of editing!
