I discovered Mystery only recently, which is a shame. They deserve a world of more recognition. Mystery sound like a more prog metal Kansas. Unlike other modern prog bands, there's less noodling and more focus on the songwriting (I like many of those bands, but it's refreshing to see focus on composition than instrumentation). I'll tell you what, they write some of the best vocal melodies I've ever heard, just as good as Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp, or anyone else. Lies and Butterflies is such a stellar album.

Had this band had their moment in the early/mid 1970's then they would have been respected, succeeded and been loved by the many. I am sure they would have taken their place along side the best of their kind. As it is, we have to hunt them down, but man, is it worth it..... I think so.

It was such a special show, it was such a privilege to attend this - and then meet the band, have Jean and Michel record a message that I broadcast in my Ron’s Brew radio show the week after - and then get to relive this again and again through that magnificent 3CD + BluRay disc box set that now graces my collection. Mystery is my favourite band in the world - after Sacrosanct of course which I am the vocalist in 🥰

Every time I watch this clip, and I watch it every 2 to 3 days, I cry. For me this is the best song of all time. Text, music, mastery of the instruments, the length of the piece. Unmatched!

I have seen them live in Cologne in a little hall. Face to Face. It was pure Magic.They played over 2 hours.

4k+ views, are you kidding me? Further proof that people simply don't appreciate, or have a clue what constitutes, great MUSIC! Musicians, actually playing musical instruments, and not "playing" computers with pre-recorded sounds while jumping up & down on stage with their "posse" of no talent criminals, blurting out non-sensical lyrics and general noise that has no meaning. Thank god real music does still exist, and much appreciation to Mystery for showing us it's just as good, if not better, live where it was truly meant to be heard!
