This brings back memories. I was around 12 years old in the early 2000's and they played this movie on YTV in Canada late at night on a Friday. I was like "oh cool transformers!" Then they started playing this theme "0_o" "This isn't beasties! wtf! who is that?" Then what felt like forever all I see if this planet sized transformer just kill billions of beings and slowly destroy their planet. On top of that the animation was just insane so it just made everything more visceral. You definitely nailed this cover!

Whenever I think of Unicron I am instantly reminded of this awesome soundtrack. It’s so iconic and memorable. It’s one of my favourite parts about the 86 movie. It’s just amazing to see how much of an impact Orson Welles had, he doesn’t even have that many lines in this movie and he doesn’t need to. My favourite scenes with unicorn are when he reformats Megatron into Galvatron and creates Cyclonus and the sweeps. And also his transformation reveal. His design is epic and I love it. Xx

You may very well be right! When I was first arranging this cover, I did have the drums more similar to the original track; however, after recording guitars, I didn't like how it sounded at all and to me it felt that it needed the additional kick drum hits in unison with the bass/rhythm guitar.
