Unicycle robot balances on a single wheel using a reaction wheel

Is this a kit? If so who makes it?

Not even a kit - came fully assembled, but for mounting the reaction wheel, and I had to supply the battery. Aliexpress www.aliexpress.com/item/4001196990525.html Also had to request the documentation and software, all in Chinese and will get around to translating someday.

Which type (1-5) did you order? Seems steep price difference but no explanation

@@Escape_normality This was type 4 - Type 4--hardware + full set of software information (PLA) (No battery ) I had to request the software but it is all Chinese. I did get the display and bluetooth but no clue how to use it yet. Looks like PLA and light cured are different kinds of plastic frame.

Thats pretty cool. But is it resting on the battery on the bottom to hold it upright?

May appear to be hitting the battery from the angle of the camera but it is not, only stands balanced on the one wheel. It is close but not touching. If the battery hit it would probably fall over.

@@TinNguyen-wx4fq From what I can tell the Nidec 24h has a controller built in - just use an esp or arduino with pwm output to control speed, or a quick test with 12v power, and 5v to CW or CCW and the PWM, should make it run full speed.

@@Peter_Riis_DK I’ll have to post an update clearly showing it’s just on the one wheel then! Proof. It’s not really hard to do, I have a collection of balance bots, one came from K-mart. It does kinda look like the batt hitting the table but about 1:52 you can see some gap - but I’ll post an update to make it clear to skeptics.
