Dan & Tiarni are on the final leg of their Germany trip. They got to see the official Mercedes-Benz Test Track for Unimogs. It really shows just how capable these vehicles are. A U5023 and a U530 were put up to the challenge to show their capabilities, from hill climbing on different terrains on massive inclines to mounting over rocky terrains. This track does a brilliant job of showcasing these trucks.
Then onto the Mercedes-Benz Truck Factory where these rigs are manufactured for the entire world! We couldn't film too much as you could expect, they are pretty tight on what gets shown publicly.
To round off an amazing trip, Dan and Tiarni visited MEREX. The largest parts supplier for Unimogs in the world! If you ever thought about how many individual parts are used on a Unimog, imagine this place! It has absolutely everything you could ever need. On top of that - there was a huge amount of Unimogs! From original models to ones straight out of the factory.
This trip really gave us an insight into the international audience for Unimogs.
