I’m looking forward to getting animal detection. It will really make my wife happy. (The current release seems to think one of my dogs is a person, and also will occasionally tell me that one of my horses is a person.😂)

Fantastic!! Only one request left for a standard camera feature is "License Plate" recognition and storing the license plate characters in a dB, for my 2 mail box cameras. I know they have them but I do not want to put a 2nd mortgage on the house to finance it. Great Video!

Finally! Dark mode! What took them so long? Now they just need to add dark mode to the Unifi OS dashboard and all will be well.

One of my G4 cameras took an age to update, kept cycling 3 minutes to zero and back. In the end I had to remove it and re-add it again. Now all good.

Does the animal detection work for non-AI cameras? I have 3 G5 Pro's and I am tired of getting alarms for stray cats. Nevermind, it does ... Added support for Animal Detection: G4/G5/AI series: cat, dog, cow, sheep, horse, deer, bear

Now I need some AI cameras... however they are pretty expensive at around twice the price... AI Bullet vs G4/G5 bullet! But looking at the descriptions of the G4/G5 on UniFi's site, they are described as "AI event detections", and the AI Bullet says the same thing but adding "greater detection precision and range" - doesn't mention anything about license plate detection (which has been around for a while).

@@gund89123 I don't think gets car color detection, need AI models for that. But not really anything I really need anyways at my house when honestly think about it. Animal detection is nice for home.

They need to work on their unifi protect app for android tv. It's so basic I can't automate it realistically, with Home Assistant.

I just cannot invest in a full camera system that doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit. I’m holding out anouther couple of years. Although I did just empty the UI store and snagged 8 WiFi7 APs and max switches for my house. I know I know. Security should come first. But I won’t buy any tech I think will rapidly change in the next year, for me it’s AI cams and thier chipset, and also Apple HomeKit. I wear an Apple Watch. I wear all over the house and I live alone. I don’t carry my phone around the house. HomeKit will send an AI human detection alert to my wrist wether I’m in the bathroom the shower or taking out the garbage I AM NOT CAUGHT OFF GAURD 😂 well that’s the theory when I decide to invest in AI cams. Oh yea also on my Apple TVs. Those camera pop ups need to be lightning fast to my Apple TVs
