6 months later in the middle of 2024, it is still version 0.3.1. Ubiquiti really needs to up their game even though their target consumer based is SMB and pro-consumers.

UniFi really has to do the user management better. From what I can tell, can filter by Teleport and then see Online or Offline users. Revoke seems to permanently remove, while Unauthorize is temporary. If you are logged into owner account in WiFiMan, you can ALWAYS connect with Teleport...no need to make an invite and can revoke/unauthorize yourself as much as you want in UDM (this confused me for a bit). Also there does not seem to be any traffic information/filtering on connected VPN users, even though they are tunneling and using Internet through the UDM.

Guess this is more of an issue with teleport in general but if you’re not an owner then you cannot access the gateways associated with your account. Didn’t realize this but testing with a second account won’t let me connect due to not having owner permissions.

You should be able to send a teleport link to anyone regardless if they are the owner and it will work

Awesome. I just downloaded and tested it. So easy to run and connect to my office remotely and then use RDP to control my machines. Only thing that didn't work (and I'll have to check settings) is that I couldn't pull up a machine via web browser on a remote machine, but I could ping and RDP, so I'm sure it's something simple.

Thanks for the update and review will be adding to my tools that I uses as Wireshark in a good one that gives me most tools to change channels on Client Wifi for less channel cross over interfering. hope that they will add more Ui feathers too

I'm glad discovery is coming back, hopefully like it used to be. I kind of don't need teleport since wireguard works on both my unifi and pfsense routers but it's good they have the option finally.

OG Discovery tool still works - you have to roll back Java to Version 7 Update 72. Everything works fine.

I was hoping to Teleport right back home and access my NAS via the linked file on my desktop. No luck. Tried to access a Pi on via IP address and its name.local. No luck. I am sure I am doing something wrong.

Hey does anyboady have this issue: When Teliport is On I can see IP adress is correct on UnFi but when I check it on my laptop it is still using the old IP

Thanks, Cody! I tested it and it works fine, but I see an issue: if I connect through Teleport to a console and try to reach a device on the LAN, it works fine. However, if this device has a rule where I block internet access to it, I cannot access it. Is the Teleport VPN seen as internet access? I'm not sure I explained it in the right way haha

Find out what IP/subnet your Teleport is using by looking at a client while is connected. In my case it is 192.168.3.1 so I presume is a 192.168.3.0/24 network. Then make a firewall Internet in rule that allows that subnet and put it above your regular rule which blocks Internet access. BTW... anyone know if Teleport is always using this .3 network? A bit off-topic but my One Click VPN makes it use 192.168.8.0/24 by default, and if i add another WG VPN Server, it is 192.168.4.0/24 which is one higher than Teleport is. One Click sorta is sorta a mess now anyways and I stay away from it.

Having the teleport app on a desktop is huge IMO. Just tested it on my MBA and this will be so easy for end users.

Device names not transferred, DNS names also. Big mess, but it's normal in unifi. They should focus on creating a proper firewall with working rules instead of releasing crappy apps.

What’s the purpose of this if we already have wireguard? Wireguard works really good. Is there any benefits to WiFiman teleport over just the regular wireguard?
