10:09 Manga spoiler -> Actually Dabi does come back because he thought Endeavor might be worried for him since he was gone for like three years because of a coma. He also went back because he wanted to apologize to everyone for the way he acted but once he saw that Endeavor did not change at all he left. It’s on ch.350

Endeavour tried to stop Touya from training when he came home after doing his own training in secret, but he got burns on his arms that's when Endeavor told him to stop but Touya wouldn't listen and continued. he hid all of the burns under his shirt. in the end Endeavor still found the burns but I really liked the video apart from the explanation. good job!

rei absolutely is at fault (she said so herself- "you're not the only one who refused to look at that child") but i wouldn't say she's just as guilty as endeavor. she was a victim too. it doesn't excuse anything that happened, but the primary cause for this was endeavor himself; he's the one who set it in motion. rei is not entirely at fault, just as endeavor is not entirely at fault, and how touya is not entirely at fault. it's messy, and hard to decipher, because that's how such prolonged and severe abuse is. that's the kind of effects it leaves behind. before anyone brings up the shoto tea incident, i think it's fair to say rei was not in her right mind; she was likely going through some sort of psychotic break or flashback involving endeavor. obviously doesn't excuse it, but she never would have done that if she was fully aware of what was happening. hence her apologizing and trying to help shoto after it happened, when she processed what she did.

both parents are to blame, but rei was a victim herself. BUT ofc i(or no one else) can’t justify her actions- but people always blame endeavor because he’s the cause of it. if he didn’t do what he did things would be A LOT different.

Why does it seem like n all of the videos the characters are just blaming endeavor like it was just his fault when rei said part of it was her fault too I strongly agree I’m so disappointed in how she just calls touya “that child” like he’s not her own blood and like she didn’t give birth too him that why I feel like the characters should be blaming rei too and honestly not just the characters the fandom it self

The reason Rei was doing all that was because she was traumatized by Endeavor to the point even seeing the little similarities that her kids had to Endeavor made her panic(because the only thing that she saw was him and she went crazy because of that). She didn't only neglect Touya but she also burnt Shoto's face. Even though she was the one who poured boiling hot water on his face and gave him that long-lasting scar, he still didn't blame her because he saw what she went through. I would personally put most of the blame on Endeavor because he literally bought Rei and abused her (right in front of their kids too) and made her give birth and take responsibility for the kids that were "failures" according to him . And then I also put a little bit of the blame on Touya for not listening to and disrespecting his mother. If you had seen that episode where Horikoshi shows Touyas past you can see that scene where he literally calls his mother useless right to her face and then says that her parents sold her to Endeavor because they were broke. Rei did nothing wrong and can't be blamed for not loving the kids she never wanted to have. In conclusion the only person to blame is Endeavor for being selfish and only caring about being the nr.1 hero. He did all that for what? because he couldn't surpass All might, sounds like a you problem to me (not actually to you but to Endeavor).

@@halaelobeid6848she absolutely has some fault. I was with you till you blamed touya for calling rei useless. She was useless. She refused to even try and help the kids out, because she was scared of endeavor. Regardless of the reason, she was useless when it came to protecting the kids. She was a victim, but also a perpetrator. She can be blamed for not loving the kids. That is neglect, making the kids victims of her. You can be a victim and an aggressor. She neglected her kids. She is part of the reason Touya felt like a failure and went to the point of insanity to prove himself. Rei might have been abused, but that doesn't give her a pass for emotionally abusing and physically abusing her kids. She says so herself. She took accountability, so did endeavor. The only aggressor who hasn't is Dabi. Not Touya, Dabi. Touya died in the fire, Dabi even says that, he became a different person. A person who refuses to see his own wrong doing and murder of Innocents as on him. All three of them are bad, only 2 have taken steps to become better.

Not necessarily, these are supposed to be season 3 characters. Endeavor being number 1 means it’s after All Might beat AFO and retired, but Endeavor didn’t get his scar until the fight with the High End Nomu which was either S4 or S5(I think it was S4, but not sure), and may not have changed too much yet since he was mad at first about becoming #1 simply because All Might retired. Deku in season 3 has a bit of knowledge of what had happened with the Todoroki’s, but I don’t think he completely knew everything.

hello ! i apologise in advance for how long winded this will be but i just wanted to share my opinion. i mention some personal experiences and i would like to clarify that im not doing it for pity points, you can 100% disagree with my view :) i bring them up as references to explain how or why i think certain ways. // slight t/w // *mentions of murder, abuse, death and trauma* my father has narcissistic traits, he is not a diagnosed narcissist, but i see alot of him in endeavour. clearly i may be biased in this aspect as my father is scum but ill try to be as unbiased as i can and view this from a psychological and empathetic standpoint. i feel like a-lot of people only portray characters as good or evil, something bnha often delves into. enji can be a good hero and be a shitty father, they can be equally true. my father is someone who is loved by many strangers, acquaintances and friends. he has superficial charm and is a smooth talker, he was able to make his own business but at the same time he was neglectful, and emotionally and psychologically abusive towards my mother. many people has argued with my mother over her decision to file for divorce, claiming that he was always nice to them, that he loves his kids and that he would never do the things she claims he does. humans are not linear. there are many shades of grey. a drastic example could also be ted bundy, even as he was on death row he had started a family. his mother was adamant that he was "a sweet boy." although in that case, bundy was objectively evil. another real life example i can think of is jeffery dahmer. his father was around, he taught his son how to remive the excess flesh from animal bones (a technique his son would later utilise) and his mother was around too. he had an ordinary life, yet somehow he turned. his parents argued often and they seperated when dahmer was maybe in his early teens. he was all but abandoned when he was around 16. he had become dependent on alcohol at the age of 14. who do we blame? theres no simple answer. dahmer was adamant about his parents being kind to him. as for whos *fault* it was that touya turned into who he is, you cant just put it in one person. obviously, neither parent helped. touya was almost doomed the moment he was conceived. enji married rei in an illegal quirk marriage, he married a woman just to have strong offspring. animalistic and pathetic behaviour. enji clearly drilled it into touya that he will surpass all might, that he *has* to surpass all might. touyas whole world was built and stood on him becoming a hero, so just imagine the heartbreak for a little boy when hes told that he will stop training. that his quirk hurts him. ill try not to theorise too much, but that would _hurt._ maybe he blamed himself, internalised it. self loathing could easily spiral out of control. then he funds out that he is being replaced, someone who is *better* than him. *stronger.* hes pushed to the side, its explained that its for his own safety. still, a child wouldnt understand that, a child would only see his younger brother get praised by the one person who he desperately needed praise from. as to whether or not enji loved touya, i believe he did. he was distraught when he found the forest ablaze. that doesnt change the abuse. do people really believe all abusers want thier victims dead? i can tell you right now, thats not true. enji appears to be a decent human being, most people, especially their parents, would be horrified to witness a child burning alive. what gets me is that after touya died, enji did not change. he continued his abuse. he continued training little shouto. continued neglecting fuyumi and natsuo. continued going to work and being a _hero._ how could he not realise that while touyas death was not his fault, it was an indirect result of the pressure and dependency that touya had with his father. when touya has managaed to make his flame burn hot enough to turn blue, he had given enji an invitation to see him in the mountain-side. my question is, where and when was he training? how was he able to train without enji having *any* clue as to what he was doing? he must of known, or at least an inkling. the burns wouldnt be easy to hid, touya was like 10-12. he surely interacted with his dad at least once a day. regardless, enji didnt come. to my recollection, im unsure as to whether he ignored/declined the invite or simply didn't receive it at all. rei is not the hero and she never claimed to be one. she clearly didnt get much of a say in matters. her marriage was not one of love but one of convenience. she is dwarfed when stood next to her husband, the no.2 hero. you can see the exhaustion in her eyes. and you know what? she admits to not being there. she spent god knows how long, involuntarily checked into a mental hospital and is still a forgiving and kind woman. she gets on her hands and knees to apologise for what her son did to hawks. rei most likely was unable to bond with her children, whether that was due to enji or due to trauma we dont know. all while enji sat in his hospital bed -throwing a pity party- claiming he cant fight his own son. . . you're telling me, that over-working a five year old boy to the point of tears and possible vomiting is a-okay. but arresting your 20-something son, with a kill count of 30~ whom you just witnessed 'hug' your youngest in a flaming attack is off the table. -in my opinion thats not character development thats just cowardice.- apologies are great. they are. but no amount of saving people, no number on the hero ranking, no amount of 'change' will ever *ever* give the todoroki children their childhoods back. it wont undo the neglect, the trauma. it wont undo shoutos physical scar and emotional scars. it wont give touya back all three layers of skin on 70% of his body. wont give rei back those crucial years she missed out on spending with her children. it wont erase the past. like touya said, "the past never forgets." you (if you are the victim, if not then stay out of it. its not your place to forgive an abuser on someone elses behalf) however, can choose to forgive. not for their sake. but for your own sake. // my personal view ! // my father left 9 or so months ago, he has caused nothing but problems for my mother. i would hope that if i were to die, he'd be distraught too. being upset over a death isnt a massive 'aw he has a heart

He actually hit both Rei and Shoto and mentally abused Touya (though I don’t think he even realized it) then neglected him and he also neglected Natsuo and Fuyumi which is also abuse. But I do agree Rei was also at fault. She was a victim of Enji’s as well but that doesn’t make her faultless in how those kids grew up.
