Kurai Madoromi no yobu ho e (To the One Where Dark Sleep Calls) [Rough Translation] Description: No matter how much or where I went It was different from the place I wished Illustration: SakuraMoyon Video: Mono-Devoid Composition & arrangement: Mafumafu 0:25 This world where you are born and disappear Is a wonderful place, isn’t it? If you rub it It’s smeared by the hand holding the pencil Envying, doubting and everything else Is merely like throwing trash out today My heart is empty Merely searching for what is displayed 0:54 Therefore, why is it that I awaken? To the one where dark sleep calls I let go of everything To the one where dark sleep calls To your calling I merely walk 1:40 If you want to fix the mistake there Use an eraser on it Blurred and stained All of my face This world where you can’t even breathe Is a wonderful thing, isn’t it? Tragically, easily A life that can be replaced by somebody 2:08 Therefore, there’s nothing to be tied down to Graffiti to entertain the night Breathing in my dreams Somewhere in a world that isn’t here Include me inside I merely pray 3:01 “A heart that is equal and free” “A body that’s unique yet correct” Trying to paint a rainbow By taking hold of a paintbrush Huh? That’s strange Black won’t come out Buried as an incomplete draft Today, there’s no meaning to my life If that’s the case, right this instant This instant Erase it 3:34 Just how much did you kill your heart? Just how much colour have you erased? Breaking the never-ending nightmare It took me away To the one where dark sleep calls Until the end of a deep sleep Towards the end of the world To your calling I merely walk (Note: I’m only translating this because I haven’t seen any translations. This isn’t 100% accurate and there’ll probably be better translations later on, but please do point out any mistakes PS: This song is such a banger. I just fell in love with it the instant I heard it. Mafumafu released another masterpiece 🙏❤️)

Thank you but I have no idea what those lyrics mean.
Lyrics Born and gone, this world is It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? I rubbed and I blotted With a pencil hand All the things I envy and doubt Just trash it, today. The mind is empty. Just looking for a pretense So why are you awake? Let go of everything Let go of everything Let go of everything and go where the dark sleep calls I'm just walking in the direction you're calling If you want to fix that mistake Put the eraser away With hazy stains And my face I can't even breathe in this world. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it? So easy to dare. Replacing someone else's life So there's nothing to bind us. I paint the night with graffiti I'm breathing in a dream To a world somewhere other than here Add me Just pray "An equal and free mind "Different but right body" I picked up my paintbrush to paint a rainbow. There's something wrong. The black doesn't show up. It's still buried in my rough sketch. My life today is meaningless. Then, right now, right now Just erase it. How many hearts have you killed? How many colors have you drained? Break the nightmare that never ends Take me away from here To the dark sleep that calls To the end of deep sleep From the end of the world to the other side I'm just walking in the direction you're calling
The emotions mafu puts in his songs/covers is just so... I'm not even sure how to describe anymore... Its just too great.

I'm commenting on this before I listen to the song (i.e., the ads are still playing). Makes me excited!

Comment after looping the song for goodness knows how many times: yup, Mafu-san doesn't disappoint. Just the vibe of the song is giving me all kinds of inspiration to create my own work. Hopefully someone can translate the lyrics because I don't know Japanese :) Btw just wanna say, the 2nd half of the first line (m s s s l l m r r) greatly resembles part of the verse1/verse2 melody of Kuufuku. If these two songs end up in the same (future) album it'll be an interesting feature. (Of course, understanding the meanings of both songs, as well as Mafu-san's background, may help explain his song flow and the linkage between both songs. But I'm a no-brainer in terms of Japanese, so I guess I'll just enjoy the song, and be summoned to the comment section next time.)
